Blackburn Rovers 5 Grimsby Town 2
A comprehensive victory against a poor Grimsby side saw the Blackburn manager claim that Arjen Robben was "the best player in the league". Robben was on devastating form as he picked up the man of the match award after bagging two goals but left the pitch in pain when he fell awkwardly and is out for 9 days with an ankle injury. Hargreaves, Bonera and Pavlyuchenko completed the scoring against unmanaged Grimsby, who in truth were lucky to find the back of the net with doubt over both of their goals.
With almost half of the season gone Blackburn fans are understandably unhappy with the club's current 12th place placing although some comfort can be taken from two exciting cup runs. Manager Campbell has vowed to turn the team's performances around in the 2nd half of the season and is said to be looking at a number of transfer targets when the transfer bans end.

Good start, 2-1 win away to Bristol City and into the play off places, just wait until I know what I'm doing.
