Last night was Aston Villa's Christmas party.
What a great night it was too. After hitting top spot in division 2 and with newly managed Middlesborough (the league's big spenders) up next timing couldn't have been better.
Ibrahimovic and Mata asked to be rested so that they could get things ready to go straight out after the game.
As soon as the final whistle went the fun began. As the players returned to the changing rooms they found that their club suits had been replaced by super hero costumes.
Ibrahimovic and Milito as Batman and Robin, Danny as Spiderman etc but the pick of the bunch had to be Juan as "Banana Juan"...apparently Brazil never got Banana man!
Straight on the move to a place called Chi. As a manager i obviously don't get out much but i couldn't have imagined a bar with a 60 seater sofa bed and a jacuzzi. Zlatan had really gone to town, Champagne on arrival and then straight onto the cocktails.
This was where the majority of the drinking happened and when most of us were slightly worse for wear we sneaked out the back and made our way to a dodgy karaoke bar. I didn't stick around too long there, i belted out Simply the best and then made my excuses and left. My spies tell me the lads then went on to Gatecrasher and most didn't get home before sunrise.
We still had training this morning. I gave them they day off as soon as they turned up i just wanted to see who wouldn't make it. Everyone denied being out too late apart from Nigel Reo-Coker......the fact he turned up still in his Super Mario costume was a bit of a giveaway.

I think the players enjoyed a bit of down time as they know the pressure they are on to get promoted this season after the heartbreak of the play offs last season. I'm pretty confident and after a good start Villa are in good spirits entering the festive period and looking to push on during the 2nd half of the season.

GG Tighty, appears to have been a close game but little bit of quality told in the end no doubt. Gap starting to appear between the top three and the rest.

Yeah, my mate has taken over at Boro - the more managers in Division 2 the better. He's a big Roma and Italian football fan so seems to be intent on snapping up a lot of Italian players.

I have now taken over at Chelsea.

A disastrous second season at Aberdeen has lead me to take necessary steps to secure the future of both myself and Aberdeen. As much as i dislike Chelsea football club i hope to win several titles over the next few seasons.

A sad day for me, parting with the Dons but hopefully some random bandit will take them to new heights.
