Looks like i've done the chasing pack a favour tonight by holding Arsenal 0-0 at the Emirates - set my team out for such a result so happy with it.
Boring boring Blackburn. haha - sore drawer?

Sigh, gg Tighty - got pummelled but led 1-0 at half time but couldn't hold after Maldini thinks this is clever...
51: RED CARD - Paolo MALDINI is shown a straight red after a petulant kick at his marker
Barca score straight after and get the winner with 20 mins to go through Drogba.

Good win away to Spurs..was a man down after 24 minutes but won 0-1 anyways. (and pulverised them in midfield and with shots on goal)..upto 4th in the table now. Edit; FML another suspension..3 players out injured and 1 suspended again...I constantly seem to have 4 players out

With just over half the season gone Pelham Lad's Arsenal team somewhat surprisingly sit top of the league after getting off to a flying start. Patchy recent form has let the chasing pack of Barcelona and Man Utd close the gap with TightEnd's Barca only 3 points behind with a greater goal difference. One of the clubs who certainly won't challenge this season are current champions Chelsea who have had a hugely disappointing season with manager Rookie sacked after a dismal early run. Rossfourfive was surprisingly appointed by the Stamford Bridge club after Aberdeen gave them permission to speak to their manager. Liverpool challenged last season but despite only losing 4 games this season have struggled to turn draws into wins and sit in midtable.
Challenging for the "European" spots behind the top 3 are PSV, Charlton, Everton and Derby. Boldie's PSV side have became a real force this season and have shown they are tough opponents both at home and away. PSV's key player has been Diego Forlan. Forlan has been in outstanding form and tops the goal scoring charts with 16 goals. Charlton are perhaps this season's Derby and are massively overachieving. Guiza has been an asset for London club. Charlton possess a squad of 85 and manager gatso seems to have the club's future at the forefront of his mind. Everton were expected to challenge for honours this season but things haven't worked out that way whilst Derby have again performed admirably.
The rest of the table is fairly tight with many clubs closely matched. Spurs have improved and sit midtable whilst preseason relegation favourites Leeds and Palace also seem comfortable but could easily be dragged into a relegation scrap with a few poor results. Man City are another underperforming club and many fingers have been pointed at manager ChipRich. He has gathered a vastly talented squad - one which many believe should be in the top 5 - but they still struggle and sit in 14th. Man City had one of the best defences in the league last season but have a poor defensive record this season.
Aberdeen, Portsmouth and Birmingham City occupy the relegation spots and look favourites to go down although both Newcastle and Blackburn only sit a few points above the bottom 3. Birmingham have recently appointed ex-Chelsea manager Rookie as boss and he might fancy his chances of escaping the drop but looks to have limited options with his small squad.
Things may perhaps become clearer in the next few games where there are a number of upcoming key fixtures.

This...very pleased to get a mention..especially since I won't be getting a positive one near the end of the season as my players being injured really starts to hurt. Though Silo helped me by playing his best team tonight

Not going too well for me in the League after drawing too many games but still in both Cups. Beat Liverpool 1-0 tonight after seeing off Man Utd and Chelsea in the two previous rounds.
[ ] I'm going all the way in this [X ] Derby will thump me in the semi final

Div 2 mini update
My Aston Villa side were the pre season favourites and started pretty averagely. Since Ibrahimovic has returned to fitness i've been in great form and hit top spot with Milito top scorer in the league with 20 in 20. Unmanaged Watford are also in good form and sat in 2nd but the main challenge looks set to come from Middlesbrough. New manager has bought a whole new team mid season and has won their last 6 league games. Cardiff and Sunderland are both just outside the play offs and have plenty of time to get back into the promotion battle but i think they may have to settle for play offs.

no real reason for this question, just wondering. anyone know if there are ever transfers between unmanaged clubs or do all players stay with the same team they were at when a setup started until they retire unless a managed club buys them?

the latter oddly too if a set up begins with in a real life a player on loan to a club, in the SM set up the player stays with the unmanaged loan club even when he returns to his real life club
