Brekkie in the Sau Paulo Cafe today. And what a brekkie...

It was 2 breakfasts really. A fry up AND pancakes. I didn't think they'd come seperate, just thought there would be a small pancake with the fry up. Ah well, almost finished it.

$15 for the food, $5 for orange juice. OJ seems to be one of the most expensive comodities in cafes, I think you can get cheaper hookers.

Anyhow, I got it comped. (The meal not the hookers).

Watching the Tennis. How awesome is Federer, what a come back in that tie breaker (and the whole set).

I'm not sure they do tennis in America, its on TV, but noone appears to be paying much attention except for the foreigners.

Awesome game.. on the US point Connors/mcenroe/sampras/agassi et al might disagree

I dont think they acctually realise sport is played in other countries.  if it was the US version would be on....

Hope Nadal wins, would be nice to see a new name on the trophy....

Oh yeah, played 2-5 PLO again last night. Went to play about midnight and the bloody main event is taking up all the tables so the list for 2-5 PLO is over 40 names long. Anyway, they opened a new table called all the names out and noone was there anymore, 42nd on the list FTW.

The game was pretty passive and easy to win in. Not so many bumped pots pre flop, and don't think I saw a pre flop all in which was strange for that game. Cuts down on the swings anyhow.

Was one nice hand though (glad I wasn't in it), loaded the fish up with money, one outers FTW Tongue

 Flop      two hearts

 Turn

 River   two spades

 Rock 1: X X

Fish 1:   X X

Fish 2:  Two Clubs Two Diamonds

$5k pot.

One of the dealers told me about a big pot the other night on the 25-50-100 PLO game.

3-way $50,000 pot. All in on turn. They decide to run it twice.

One person has a flush draw, one an open ended straight flush draw.

1st run hits low end of stright flush, 2nd run he catches the top end.

I make that a 1 in 500 coup.

I want Federer to win, he hits the ball without making any grunting sound whatsoever. How it should be played.

This morning I bumped into Rod and Jen on the way back to my hotel. They had just given up playing the in small Rio card room. Jen was having a corona for breakfast.

Then around the next corner was micky P. He plays the main event today. Good luck Micky. He also told me that Eck finished on 49k yesterday, nice work.

Spot on Cambo

When they learn how to cook bacon not cremate it I might eat another one in Vegas but never again. Strictly pancakes or fruit and cereal for me.

Took a night off yesterday. I watched the film Juno, I give it 8/10. Fell asleep and slept for around 18 hours and missed my PLO game.

Went out at around midnight tonight and the cash games in the Rio are pretty quiet compared to how they were last week (50+ tables). Only around 20 cash games running. There were two 5-5 PLO games running though, which was plenty. They used to be 2-5 PLO but are now 5-5 PLO for some reason. 5-5 is better, but it doesn't make much difference and I doubt I'd change it mid-way.

I set off with $500. And after losing a $100 prop bet on the size of the pot with the dealer I managed to gamble 3-way with 6654 to $1500. Then with 89TJ double suited I scooped a big pot to get around $4k. Pretty much went on lock down then - finished $4,300 infront. Went for a steak in the all American Grill, which is the only place in the Rio open 24 hours.

Recognice this from Tikays photos? Its the bussiest corridor in poker.... but not at the hours I frequent it.

I don't think I can delay my flight again - even though I think I want to  Wink. I have quite a few things to do back home.

Most importantly my flat's lease runs out in a few weeks and I either need to renew it or find somewhere else or my stuff will be chucked out on the street in Manchester.

Also, my car broke (leaking radiator) down a couple of weeks before I came out here. So it will have been sat outside my mates house for 6 weeks when I get back. Ideally I need that sorted before Blackpool and the pre forum home game!
