Put everyone's diaries/blonde blogs on a new board

I'm apathetic either way to be honest, but you can always just ignore threads that aren't of interest.  Surely the lounge is the right place for these threads (and maybe the rail if they are poker focused)?

hmm - I'm coming at it from the other way.  I don't see it as making them easier to ignore for people that don't want to read them, but making them easier to find and keep track of for those that do - it was easy enough when there were only a handful, but it's harder to keep up with them now. 

just do what I do and post  in every single thread on the forum to keep up my post count

There's only 5 of them on page 1 of "The Rail" main page and 2 might go away after Vegas so I can't see the problem.

Maybe if they start taking up 1/3 of the page then move them but otherwise leave 'em for now imo.

It's only when diaries dominate the thread that they need their own little space.

have to disagree with this. for starters I make it 6 of the top 12 non-stickied threads on the rail plus this one discussing them.

now imo if diaries are not to get their own board they need to be moved to the lounge unless they are specifically poker related.

imagine a newcomer to blonde, they've just heard about this great poker forum, UK's busiest, and think it'll be a great place for them to go, learn about the game and improve. they find their way to the rail where they expect to find discussions on poker and start reading through some of the threads at the top of the page.
pictures of Rich's kids in the nets. is this newcomer going to think this is the place for them to learn the game or are they going to fuck off?

All very good points particularly about the newcomers. These diaries are probably of no interest at all until someone gets to know a bit about the people who are writing them.

When I first saw this thread about moving diaries I thought it was a good idea. I don't think it's good to have diaries moving other poker threads on to page 2 of the rail. Let's face it, once they're on page 2 that's it they're gone for good.

Once I saw that there weren't too many of them I wasn't so sure so changed my mind. Now Gatso has changed my mind again.

I have now decided to express my rights as an Englishman and remain on the fence with regards to this issue. I think it is a very good idea and also a very bad one. It is also potentially reasonable whilst at the same time totally unreasonable.

So let's stand together and let the diaries stay!!! Or move them if you feel that's better.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it!!!

I actually think that a lot of the diaries should be in the Lounge - as they are predominately non-poker.  The ones that are mostly poker-related should be in the Rail.

But it's not a huge problem/issue.

I do the same.  Only more frequently...
