I see the batty boys have robbed Sears/Randall from under my nose, least they paid far more than I was willing to stump up.

two of my kids have taken control of Man U and Chelsea with Scotty's permission

In the interests of openness and fairness I should inform you that I will be attempting to take a couple of their youngsters on loan. Nothing to stop any of you trying to do so either.

I won't influence their decisions either way.

I missed out on Sears too - he went to Brighton for the same price I bid. He will be a good signing.

How does everyone feel about opening the game up to allow outsiders to manage the Div 1 sides? It is beneficial in that it allows loan deals for us lower clubs.

Sorry if I've caused problems with this

My view is the game should be opened up to other managers once all of us have the teams in the bottom division

why?

- for lower division sides, loans are a vital part of the game. Its a skill getting loans accepted, and then another skill integrating them into our financial structure. Also with small squads loans are crucial.

Logically you throw the league open to others, then have a wide pool of teams to loan from.

Of course if people disagree I'll withdraw the two applications I've made to loan players from Man U/Chelsea. No bother.

I've also told my boys to treat the league like any other, if they wouldn't normally loan a player out don't do it.

Obviously I'd rather not ask them to withdraw from the league..Man U and Chelsea teams are rare as rocking horse manure, and managing those doesn't interfere with our league, hence why I asked Scott's permission for them to join.

my first instinct is that I don't really like it, the whole point of this 2nd setup was to create a more level playing field and challenging environment for the managed teams. I'd prefer the top teams to remain comp controlled.

also don't really want to make it easy for kev to get loan players

I guess I should withdraw mine?    Not sure Carlo would want to come to Brentford anyway.

I say have a vote.

I think being able to loan from the higher leagues would be good for us and make it more realistic.

Horneris just told me he disagrees though, but only cos he has a massive edge with Bradford, loadsa money and massive stadium.

Vote plz!

just to let managers know the lads have rejected all loan requests for the time being

the likes of Bradford will disagree with loans, even in a fourth division championship there are haves and have nots and inbuilt biases due to ground sizes etc..its not a level playing field and nor should it be

Loans, as in real life, give the smaller clubs with less money a shot and the managers a chance to exercise skill in another area

I'll happily go with a vote on allowing loans, whatever it decides
