James milner to Liverpool? Surely he wouldn't hand in a transfer request to go to villa?! Disappointing either way.

Oh well, i'm sure Keegan will spend the £10 million wisely, lol.

I would've posted this yesterday as i am today as i am not bitter about him putting a transfer request in but there are two things with Milner that mean he's not a top class player and why I was very suprised to here of liverpools interest:One he can't cross a ball his corners don't beat the 1st man probably 8/10 which is diabolical and also his doesn't score anywhere near enough goals. So for those 2 reasons i wont be that sorry to see him go for 10 million if swp is available at the same price i know who i'd rather have

Agree with a lot of what you say, think Villa have paid way over the odds for him, he's a £5m player at best. He works he's socks off which is why the fans take to him, but his distribution was fairly poor.
Another body in which is good as our squad was so thin on the ground last year. Pretty much the same with Newcastle now looks like you need to get a few players in.

Leeds will get a % of the milner transfer. £2-3M not bad for a league one team Smiley

Fee rising to 12m with add on's. Leeds on 20%. Newcastle offered bates 500k last week to buy the rights back!

I always thought villa played with 3 forwards, with young being on the right. They now have milner and routledge as right wingers. Will be interesting to see how they line up.

It's usually Young left Agbonlahor right and Carew middle.

I cant see Milner replacing either of these players

but that doesnt suit the style Martin o'neil usually employs- he has always used a target man in the centre, Heskey, Sutton, Hartson, Carew- playing gabby up top would not suit his sytem IMO

Away from home on the counter attack he uses Harewood, and Gabby is way better than Harewood.

Saha to Everton. Anyone know how much this was for?

undisclosed they won't release amount as he is injury prone and all fans think waste of money - although most man utd fans look back and say how much have we lost by buying him....
