Total runners with alternates .. 119

With the Western event on, and a lot of DTD regs in Vegas, I think 119 is a good field ... and there is a lot of quality in those 119 ...

Is Claires stack looking any healthier?

No action from Claire.  She's being patient and waiting to emulate Monkey Matt's exploits.

He too was down to about 5,000 after his full house was beaten by a bigger one.  He managed to get back to over 7,000 when the following happened:

He has two spades in the BB and with an unraised pot he checks to see the flop with two other players.

The flop is a pleasant one for Matt - three clubs

He bets 200 into the pot of 600 and is raised by Chris Ellinas on the button for another 600.  The SB folded, and weary of the flush draw Matt re-raised to 2,100.  Chris then shoved all-in for about 7,000.  Mat called and Chris turned over with top pair and a gut-shot.

The turn card gave Matt the wobbles - the , giving Chris trips and giving him more outs.

The river however was a nice one for Matt, and he doubled up and then knocked out Chris who was down to a few hundred in the very next hand.

ACTION ACTION ACTION  ACTION ACTION ACTION  ACTION ACTION ACTION  ACTION ACTION ACTION

A board got things going with Des Jonas' bet being raised all-in by Paul Hardy.  Round to Danny Toffel who then re-raises all-in.  Des folds and Paul is up and down with the and Danny is sitting pretty with two pair with .

turn, and a river of the Two Diamonds means that Paul exits stage left and Danny rakes in a nice pot to add to his stack.

Danny with his new chips neatly stacked:
