So you have $1400 left?  Folding is burning money here, easy call...

That's what I thought really. I was a little concerned about the UTG +1 limp as the villain hadn't really done too much wrong all game. And I'm getting a little paranoid about these early position limps now as you never know what the oppo's line is. So naturally AK, AQ and 99 could have featured in his range as easily as the mid-high pairs, which I'm miles ahead of.

So it's still got to be a fairly easy call, given stack sizes and that I am probably ahead of most of the oppo's range?

You forgot to shove pre but have got out of jail with an A hi flop, now your oppo just jams into you which means he can't have you beat unless he is a complete retard

I've raised the query of when to shove pre before on Matthew Hilgers forum. My personal opinion was that 10xBB is far too small to shove with because you are still in shove/fold mode where as a 14-15BB shove gives you a tiny bit of room for manouevre.

The advice I was given then was to forget shoving with more than 10BB. If I could remember what Matt Matros had to say about it I'd post but I can't remember.

Anyway.....I pretty much called immediately, and could not believe my luck when he tabled J2o!!! He'd played pretty well all game then he goes and makes one of the worst plays I've ever seen. Was really surprised.

14-15BB's with a limper is a shove.

You can't put a third of your stack in with A-J pre-flop and then have any worry that your hand isn't good enough when you hit post-flop.

That is a bit harsh lol.

I'm glad people think 14BB stacks should be shoved because that is what I thought.
