There used to be a series on Discovery Channel called Animal Face Off which was all about this sort of contest. It was 40 minutes of the science behind it followed by a CGI square go at the end.

Polar Bear FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the only thing that might beat a polar bear is an elephant but that would have a lot to do with where they faught, out in the open in a big space maybe the elephant but it would be close, in a ring the polar bear would destroy an elephant.

that is one serious animal(that i'm pretty sure tighy made up) but if it does exist you'd have to question it's fighting prowess having been genetically messed about with.

good for intimidation purposes though, the polar bear canes the tiger then the tiger says its going to get its big brother and comes back with the liger, the polar bears gonna think: "wtf is that"? and maybe leg it.
