Poker related Tattoo

At first glance it looks like a screengrab from a documentary on neo-nazis.

I have an Ace of Hearts with my name through the midlle on my forearm.

I have had it since I was 14 (33 years) I didn't play Poker till 3 years ago, yet every one assumes that I have it because I play poker.

The truth is that way back then my mate acquired a tattoo gun and had it hooked up to a car battery in his bedroom and he would practise his art on a few mates.

I chose it as it was the only transfer/design that he had that I thought looked any good.

He became one of the best and most popular tatooists in Edinburgh in the 80's.

Yes mate tbh, though it has faded over the years.

I also have my wife's name (TRISH) on my shoulder, however it is underlined and most people who see it for the first time actually ask "are you IRISH

Makes me laugh.

Girgy, if you like the design, and you want to get it tattood on you, then do it - don't worry about what anyone else thinks - there will always be people anti-body art.  Do take time to think about it though.  I got my first tattoo done on a whim when I was very young, and have regretted it since (not getting a tattoo but the design and the area it's done in.  I do want to get another one, and it will probably be on my lower back, but have been looking at designs for a long time and not found anything I really like yet - when I get this next one I want to be damn sure about it first, and I won't be asking anyone elses opinion first

lol it's true, my last one actually took me several years to 1) get a design I really liked and 2) get up the nerve to get it done forever.

It was stuck on my fridge for ages so I would see it everyday, if I got sick of it (which I did with a few of the previous designs) I would scrap it and start again. Why rush it when you are going to have it forever?

2; I have an informed opinion (I can't even say that with a straight face) on almost everything, that is correct...I think you'll find I'm right about almost everything though I quite like tattoos but Japanese writing when people can't read it and don't actually know what it means it means they can safely be put in one of several categories; 1 Slappers, 2 Idiots, 3 Pretentious morons.


I'm also with Greek on the poker tattoo thing BTW...they are on a par with those tattoos the more common variety of female has on their lower back.

He was in my top 20 before the post tbh, He's the only guy I know that moved from the qwest coast to be CLOSER to Edinburgh, that taked some brass balls.

Thanks for the advice, like you say you have gotta be happy with the design and location as its gonna be there for life so il consider this before having anything.
