On the flop is the best hand the hand that is winning or the hand with the best % chance to win?

Depends what position I am in, if I get my chps in with a massive draw but no made hand then thats clearly the best hand if I get my chips in when I am in front with the made hand and get outdrawn then obviously its a suck out and poker is rigged

Think we have a thread on this before. And the general consensus was best hand = winning, favourite is obv the %... I will personally take the favourite each time tho

I would personally say the best % chance.
If you are going to get into semantics, I suppose on the flop the best 5 card poker hand is winning.
Yet most forms of poker are based on best 5 cards from 7 and when you are all in, the next 2 cards are always going to get dealt.

Well i would follow the math as should you,
Just because you see you have made an under paid and you opponent is up n down with overs with flush draw + board pairing then your no longer ahead are you!
Always take the math thats how you work out wether your ahead or not ;-)

Yep, like if say Leicester take a shock 1st minute lead against a full strength Utd in the FA cup 3rd round at O.T. Leicester are winning, but Utd would still be favourites...

For eg you have vs on a board...the best hand is the cos you HAVE to hit your card to win with k6, even though you are a massive fave something like 70%ish. I would expect most people to disagree with me here. Thats not to say i wont take the k6 hand every day of the week!

A question I was pondering the other night (which kind of fits in with the thread title) - if you were all in preflop against 8 random hands and could choose your holding, what cards would you pick?
