Great stuff from our two women in the pool.  In that one race we've already bettered our medal-haul in the pool from the last Olympics.  Good finish to the race as well.

Not just the last Olympics, we've not won a gold in swimming for about 40 years

Goodhew and Moorhouse.  We have won golds, but that's the first from a woman for 40 years.

Great stuff in the pool this morning ... attitude attitude attitude. If you go in with the mindset that you are there to make up the numbers, thats exactly what you will do.

14 year old diver ??  well that just shows how good the media machine is in this country, that little brat has been on every news bulletin, every newspaper, every tv programme for months and months. The fact that it was a PAIR competing in the event didnt seem to register with anyone, everyone knows Tom Daley's name, no one knows the name of his partner.  They came last, GOOD ... Maybe that media exposure will now be switched to people who actually exceed expectations and are winners.

British mentality in sport and so many other areas is to "Root for the underdog" ... fuck that, lets root for winners.

On that note, Kev will now no longer support Spurs and can be seen at Old Trafford from now on.

It would be funny if he went on to win the solo now!

He's expected to do better in the solo event.

He's a 14 year old boy - he's going to have much more experience of doing it on his own than doing it with someone else.
