After hearing rebecca romeros post event interview, personality is not a word that could be used when talking about her ... great athlete without a doubt, but totally bereft of a personality.

Did you hear the slightly bitter interview the other Brit who came second to Romero gave afterwards , about Romero. Talk about catty LOL

I can honestly say I've never watched such an amazing race in my life, she smashed the hell out of it.

Yes you have, Phelps in the 100 butterfly.

Adlington for Personality of the Year though. All the old crusty farts will rule out Romero and Pendleton because of the risque pics they did.

Which old crusty farts? It's the public that votes for SPOTY.

I think Rebecca Adlington will probably be up there too.  At 19 she has two gold medals from one olympics and completely destroyed a WR.  I can honestly say I've never watched such an amazing race in my life, she smashed the hell out of it.

Arrghhh WR meant nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And it's the old crusty farts at the BBC that decide who's up for it, isn't it?

There's a shortlist of ten, and I think even those are decided by public vote

Golds on their way in the cycling. Can't wait for the madison.
It's mental.

Agreed.  Utterly bonkers, but compulsive viewing.

Quote on the Beeb:

"1050: After three sprints, Argentina and Italy have stolen a lap on the rest of the field, but Argentina lead because Italy haven't scored points. Belgium are third... strike that, Italy have lost a lap! Who invented this sport? Jackson Pollock?"

Are we doing well? Got no sound.
It looks like we need to gain a lap and really steal a few sprints.

Yep, looks like it's too much for Wiggins.  Shame really.

BBC saying that we were marked men?
If we made a move nobody let us get away like the others.

Bit disapointed really. Get that Burke to do it next time. Came 3rd to Wiggins in an event he just entered for the sake of it.
