Watched Warhorse, thought it was reasonably good 7.5/10 That horse has had a more eventful life than most of us  Cheesy

Even if you don't like the film, I don't think I've seen a film that looks visually better than this one.

I enjoyed it, but as we said on the time on here Curtis's screenplay is so mawkish it spoils it for me

Once it gets to the WW1 frontline and the war experiences, a good film. Could have lost the first half hour

Another revisit last night for me, 'Scent of a woman'
Fantastic film with Pacino arguably at his best.

Spiderman - any cop?

I enjoyed it a lot. Probs a bit more than the Toby Maguire ones.

Watched Ted yesterday at Orleans.

Meh.

(I appreciate that Claudia Winkleman's job is not under threat after that report!)

Some funny moments but a pretty predictable and formulaic story. Whilst there are some competent actors in Mila Kunis and Mark Wahlberg, the supporting cast are so wooden they'd be more comfortable in B&Q.

If you like Family Guy, you will laugh. Don't take your brain or it'll feel left out.

Not to state the obvious, but you were watching a movie about a talking Teddy Bear Directed by Seth Mcfarlane not a (boring) master piece on Italian Neorealism by Fellini...  Cheesy

Watched the Amazing Spiderman, thought it was Brilliant, It wasn't as fresh as the Batman begins remake and some of the script didn't make sense, like the Lizards behavior, but all in all a good watch and the new actor that takes over from Toby Maguire is so much better... ...

Saying that I'm a huge fan of Marvel so anything with the Avengers, Spiderman and the Fantastic Four will always tick the right boxes for me..

Well, Fellini was no Visconti but I take your point

Look, it's funny enough that people won't say in ten years time "Do you remember that god awful film he made?" [See the big band swing evening he did] but not even at American Dad levels of brilliance.

You will laugh, you might even cry (I'm a shocker for that - Run Fatboy Run. Seriously. Unbelievably I managed it) and it will be worth the time.

How's that?

Very few movies I give 10/10, but that's what the new Batman film gets (as did the previous 2 for my money) - I cannot emphasise how good an end to the trilogy it was. Best of the three too.

Took the two kids to see the Amazing Spiderman tonight at The Sheffield Odeon...

It was a great film with continuous action and a definite must see(especially if you have kids) but I have to say   How expensive is the cinema these days ?

1 x adult & 2 kids  £19
parking £3.30
one big popcorn and big drink £7.50 (yes £7.50)

£30 for 1 adult and 2 kids sure seems expensive   Sad

The price is tilting but it's the dribblers serving behind the popcorn stand that get my goat. The film is usually out on dvd before I get to the head of the queue.

I love heist based films so gave Takers a whirl. Was actually very decent, worth a watch. Funny cast, you'll recognise almost everyone with being able to tell what most of them have previously been in.

IMDB has it down as a 6/10 and that seems fair. Anyone who has seen my previous scorings on here would see that 6/10 is decent for me.

For a 4 year old I would say its  fine George as  there is a lot of action but the violence isn't over the top or bloodthirsty.

The only thing my 10 and 12yr old wouldn't watch is when Spiderman kissed his girl    Smiley
