What are peoples favourite Sports Film ever?

Moneyball, Million Dollar Baby and The blind side spring to mind.

If we class fighting to the death as a sport then Gladiator would be my winner. Smiley

Wolf on Wall Street

Scorsese and Di Caprio, what's not to love?

Di Caprio's character is a complete lunatic, which he plays very well and his wife is incred until she speaks.

McConaughey's character was great, and it was a shame he had such a small part in it.

Dallas Buyers Club

McConaughey plays a beer swilling, drug taking alpha male that ends up an AIDS patient. He finds his condition getting worse when taking the medication generally prescribed, so ends up travelling to Mexico and finds that the drugs he got there improve things. This gradually leads to him smuggling them back into the USA, and setting up the DBC

Thought this was very good too, and McConaughey is definitely setting the bar very high for himself this year.

Also, I think that Jared Leto and Walton Goggins must have been separated at birth (People who have seen SOA will know what I mean)

Very good film that outlines the dangers of not wearing a hat Wink

sports films: The natural, Cinderella man, Hoosiers and The legend of Bagger Vance are all good films that have yet to be mentioned.

Wolf Of Wall Street incred. Jonah Hill's best work ever, Leonardo crushing and some naked Donna-from-Neighbours.

The improv comedy scene about dwarf tossing was pretty painful but otherwise it all hits the mark imo. Three hours long but would do it all again. 9/10

Lolz, my answer has changed every time. I've watched bits and bobs again and think I am settling on 7.9/10.

Gotta respect Jonah for working for £36k when Leo got £6.2m, shows a lot of integrity but it's still pretty harsh. Respect to him but shame on them.

Triva: It has the most F-Bombs out of any film (non documentary) ever.

Watched this last night, and was of the same opinion as yourself.

Definitely gets the Vegas juices flowing early doors!

How on earth did Emma Thompson not get an Oscar nomination for her performance in Saving Mr Banks ?

Superb performance.
