Ant thoughts on the Kingsmen movies?

First one, excellent. Seeing the church scene for the first time was pretty amazing.

Reviews for the second are not good so I haven't bothered so far.

A Quiet Place

An early contender for my movie of the year.

Easily the tensest 90mins I have spent in a cinema. Saw it in a small 30 seat screen, £2.50 a ticket!

Emily Blunt and cast are incredible. Must be seen in the cinema.

5 stars.

More than decent for sure. Did it in a double header with Ghost Stories, which was also pleasing. Reminded me of Amazing Stories from the 80s.

Leisure Seeker is a major swerve and god knows how Truth Or Dare got into cinemas. The acting is actually ok but it's poorly done and a shameless rip-off of Final Destination.

2nd isn't great but certainly action packed.  Elton John is bloody hilarious in it. Worth seeing just for him.

I've not really got a clue what the MCU is but watched it due to the hype. Seen the Nazi Captain America one and one of the Guardians which were both enjoyable.

Was tempted to leave after an hour, think you need to be a fanboi who appreciates all the superheres appearing together. Gets a 6.2 from me, ending is an 8.1.

I like it, but a few things annoyed me. In a world where making noise will get you killed... why the fuck would you get pregnant?! No.2, Why wasn't the girl allowed in the cellar?

I thought this was great, action packed and quite a departure in certain aspects of other MCU films. Will definitely pay to see it again.

3 films planned for a Friday marathon: A Quiet Place, Rampage and Avengers: Infinity War. The joys of Limitless Smiley

Anything else currently out that would get a recommendation?

Had a minor spree..

Infinity War

So the hype has been long and finally we have it.. MCU brings together a smorgasbord of super heroes in efforts to go bigger and louder.

Surprisingly they do achieve this as all corners of the Marvel Universe come together in an attempt to stop the Titan, Thanos, from possessing the six infinity stones that will give him the power to wipe out half the universe at a click of his fingers. It seems Thanos sees himself as some kind of self appointed universal culling machine having decided theres just too many lifeforms milling around .

The pace is relentless and at times overwhelming, as so much is going on its almost impossible to keep track and with so many of our fave heroes sharing screen time ( even though the run time is in excess of a bum numbing 140 minutes ) its still doesn't seem enough time to do them all justice.

No spoilers here as its worth seeing.. plenty of bang for your money mental conclusion and a decent thought provoking ending for a change..that obviously leads us into Avengers 4..its hard to imagine where they go from here but i'm sure they will.

All in all enjoyed it.. solid 8/10
