Watched Cemetery Junction and thought it was bloody awful, really really predictable and self indulgent, the worst thing Gervais has ever contributed to screen.

AGREED 100%

Worthless tripe.  So self indulgent, put me off all Gervais's work. Cant watch idiot abroad for this reason.

Basically this was the film for me:

I wanna make something of myself
You'll never make something of yourself
No you'll make nothing of yourself
I'll never make something of myself

.......

Oh look, we all made something of ourselves

Wait its not funny, lets get Gervais and an old woman to rip off Nana vs Jim from the Royle Family

Fade out to All the Young Dudes by Mott the Hoople

Pretty much.  You forgot to mention the film included every single crap movie/character/storyline cliche going.

Yep, nice guy likes nice girl, nice girl dating bad man
rebel without a cause mate
daft slow mate, suprises everyone with a bit of a sing song, so good even old fuddie duddies dance
the running onto the train at the end
the walk away from the racist, walk back, whack em, scene

starting to think it was the worst film I've seen since the Black Dahlia

Anyone seen Social Network yet?

Yah, went to see it last night. Well worth a watch.

Worth a watch but didn't live up to the hype for me. Justin Timblerlake is quality but, as for Jesse Eisenberg being an Oscar candidate, roffle! Full-bank lay if he's up for awards.

Paranormal Activity 2.

At least as good as the first one. Enough of the same stuff, with just enough new stuff chucked in to keep it fresh.
Excellent cast.
Slow, slow, slow, then bang bang. Works imo.
Cinema was full. Mainly full of idiots. Had to move twice to get away from talkers. First chattertwat decided to tell the first three rows that 'there's the pool cleaner again' about 50 times in the first hour but still pleasing despite that.
What is it with cinema talkers? Used to shush them or turn around and ask whether they planned on talking through the entire film, but now just shift me ass.

7/10 for me.

Saw three diamonds

Ticks all the right boxes and outstanding death stuff. But acting is woeful in parts though and, like the last couple of installments, is half an hour too long and spends too much time in flashback mode at the end. Nobody cares about that guff really, they only come for the blood'n'stuff.

Going tonight, hope it wraps things up, probably won't though.

Vengeance trilogy rights bought by Warner Bros for a US release and Akira to be a live action film.

Double sigh!

Went to see                 SKYLINE   today

A remake of War of the Worlds,

It follows just 6 characters as the invasion begins and their futile attempts to hide from the creatures,

like keeping the curtains closed, thats sure to fool'em

The film is very short, ends about half way through, lol, only 1 hr 20 min

Scenes of the city at night are great, CGI  OK, script is diabolical and cheesy.

Trailers on YouTube

Nothing good can come of this, probably give it to Michael Bay to direct Sad

Think you're being generous there Crow, it was crap.

Like Cloverfield had never happened.

"Let's do a remake of Cloverfield, nick the squiddy things from The Matrix, and get some crap actors to deliver a crap script. We'll have that bloke from Scrubs as the male lead. Not the famous one, the other one."

Shite.

More Skyline comments

I was in the cinema with 5 other people.

3 Left before it ended

It may have been when they sellotaped some sheets to the windows to hide behind

Yes it was those Matrix drones again, best way to kill one ,is hit it with a large building block, apparently
