Unbroken trailer makes the movie look very promising
I think I'll watch that next

Not seen the trailer but 1.01 it's better than the movie.

Watched a bunch of movies on a long haul flight last week.

Lucy - 6/10. Not bad, Johanssen is wooden but she is supposed to be. Not the most linear storyline but quite arty.
Captain America: Winter Solider - 5/10. Bog standard big action.
Captain America: the first one. 7/10. Actually much better despite the lower budget.
Thor: the first un. 7/10. Quite funny.
The Drop: 8/10. Really good, slow paced but gripping. Nice last film for Tony Soprano.
Snowpiercer 9/10. Fucking weird and really really good. Strangest film I'll see all year. 12 Monkeys on a train was my first thought. Dont think its even hit the cinemas here yet.

I've got Snowpiercer downloaded, have had for months, I'll give it a go after your rec.

Yes - The Drop, The Equalizer, Gone Girl, Draft Day, Foxcatcher

Seen all of the above recently and all score 7 or above for me. I don't even like NFL or understand the draft but still enjoyed Draft Day. Foxcatcher was just intense. The Equalizer was an above average action type. The Drop was also a little intense and highly enjoyable whilst Gone Girl is the best film I've seen in a while, maybe.

No - Lords of London

Never ever watch this film.

Also seen Before I Go To Sleep the other day, feels like that film could have been better but worth a watch.

I enjoyed Gon Girl but thought the ending was pretty shit.

Spoke to a colleague who read the book and she thought the book ending was poor also.

Killing my softly.

Was really looking forward to it, trialers looked good, fairly decent cast.

Very disappointed. While the Lioita beat-up was filmed well and the shooting too. Good cinematography, but overall not very good at all.

4/10. And WTF was the ending all about!?

A Walk Among the Tombstones

Pretty decent thriller..although fell a bit between two stalls of serial killer pic and action revenge.... well worth a watch ...Neeson puts in another solid performance and has risen in recent times as action flick man

6.5/10

Kingsman is the absolute nuts. So much better than Kick-Ass.

just thought it was quite predictable from like the third scene.

decent stuff, but not gonna be winning any oscars.

Birdman though. 9/10 for me.

Just caught a film from a couple of years ago called Sightseers. A nice touch between light and very dark, 6 1/2 to 7/10 for me. Worth a watch.

The Grand Budapest Hotel

Cracking lighthearted story about a concierge, played by Ralph Fiennes, who gets framed for murder. Great story, great array of named actors in cameo roles and well worth a look. 8/10

The Theory of Everything was superb, and I was delighted to discover it was very accurate to real life (Not like The Imitation Game, which was a superb movie, but an insult to history).

Eddie Redmayne has to win the best actor oscar.
