While watching some of 'Shawshank Redemption' on film4 last night i was thinking why did it flop so badly at the box office but anyone who's seen it loves it?
You can't go far wrong with Morgan Freeman at the wheel.

wasnt a 10 out of 10 but a usual guy richie film

I enjoyed it as did the wife and its left open for a remake.. there will be worse ways to spend a couple of hours and leave 20mins so you miss all the crap trailers at the start..

The trailers are the best bit about the cinema, I always get excited about the new films in the pipeline.

I have no intention of watching another Guy Ritchie film until its based outsiide of organised crime and/or London. He really looked like the Tarantino of UK film but turns out he just waits a couple of years, long enough for us to forget Lock Stock, then hammers out the same plot twist filled mockney gangster crap. Im sure its pretty entertaining, but if he wasnt banging madonna I reckon he would be a key grip or making adverts by now.

righteous kill

Fuck me, what a wasted opportunity. I'd rather have seen five minutes in a cafe rather than 90 minutes of this tosh.

Good idea. Not a complete loss of time, but such a disappointment nonetheless. Terribly written script. For a movie, and De Niro/Pacino fan, it's almost a crime to make this the film where they finally shared considerable screen time.

Just back from the cinema and dont know if/when this one is out in UK but def worth going to see "Quarantine".

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0758774/

Just check the trailer out on there and pretend you didnt jump once. Watched it with Ling and she almost fell out of her chair twice coz she was so scared! Despite in some parts being predictable with what you are going to see next you still cant help but shit yourself when it actually happens!

Also went to the cinema tonight, saw Eagle Eye, decent film, entertaining enough. Think Wargames meets 2001 a space odyssey .. I can think of a lot worse ways to spend a couple of hours.
