I'm off tomorrow to see Fermat's Room, a dodgy Spanish film from 2007 where they lock four mathematicians in a room and the walls start to come in on them unless they can, I dunno, solve puzzles and shit like that.

The tagline... Think inside the box.  Cheesy

Over/Under for the amount of people who will be in the cinema with me (not including the bird) is 8. The betting starts now, get on.

Two on the over, will report back tomorrow.

I've heard of the Cube but not seen it. It's that other Michael Crichton one they made after Jurassic Park binked millions?

Really enjoyed The Terminator film yesterday.  Excellent premise for a film, well 'executed' by Cameron and Co.  Alas, this refers to the eighties original which was BBC1's late night film and, despite inexplicably being ranked below the second instalment in the IMDb Top 250, is still far and away the best in the series.

As for the latest offering, the machinations of contrived plotting and 'doffing of oil can to the earlier films', leads one to the inevitable conclusion that the only thing this Terminator might salve is insomnia.  Yes folks, yet another soporific sequel.  Imagine a nightmarish vision of the future, a post apocalyptic scene of hellish proportions and when the smoke clears, you're being menaced by a Frankensteinian franchise that refuses to die!

"I'll be back!" has taken on an all together more sinister meaning which really should send shivers down the spine of future cinema-going audiences...

So what exactly were you hoping for? A remake of Shawshank Redemption perhaps?

If when I see this it's anything but a nightmarish vision of the future I'll be bitterly disappointed.

There were exactly 8 people, although one of them might have been the projectionist so paying the unders market.

I really loved it. The acting, direction, script all excellent.

A couple of moments that I enjoyed. A great piece of writing in a part where a guy is describing an accident he had, and a great piece of camerawork where a car goes over a cliff.

If there's a dodgy cinema near you that shows this sort of stuff I would definately recommend.
