Tikay and Twigg are sitting next to each other.

Tikay, "We have a last longer and a hair last longer, I think I might lose both."

Jim Moult the Bookiebasher is bashing up his table. Most recently he took down a 5k-or-so pot, holding with the board reading .  His opponent in Seat 1, who I suspect may be one Michael Jeffrey, nodded to himself and mucked. Mr Moult is now on around 24k.

Mr Red Dog is off back to his kennel with his tail between his legs. "I played a hand badly," he sighs. A bunch of people limped in on Mr Red Dog's big blind, so he raised to 1,000 holding 5-6. To his consternation, he got three callers. The flop, however, came down 5-2-4, so he bet out. One gentleman called. The turn was a King, which they both checked, and the river was a Queen. Mr Dog says he knew that what he should have done at this point was go all in, but what he actually did was check. Mr Caller checked behind, and his Five out-kicked Red Dog's. A few hands later and he ran Kings into Aces, and we are down one dog. He claims to be going home now, although he was just taking a stroll by the cash tables first, just to watch, of course.

Chip Rich just got bluffed off a pot just before the break, calling a raise from the small blind against the UTG player. He then proceeded to call 1,100 on the flop before folding to a big all-in move on the turn. His opponent gleefully showing the for the air-that-made-a-okish-sort-of-draw-maybe on the turn.

Chip Rich kinda just nodded to this bluff but then probably on the inside he was thinking...

Mr John "Reggie" Perrin is no more, in a strictly tournament sense. He bet the turn of a board with and then called all in to Xie Zhuyen's enormous raise. He was somewhat disappointed to be drawing dead to Zhuyen's though...

I think he got his hand stuck in his glass as well, to add insult to injury:

Mr Zhuyen seems surprised:

Among our chip leaders, Mr Alan "I am not Greek Jack's agent" Stearn:

Among our chip laggers, Mr Karabiner is however recovering - he's clawed his way back up to around 8k from the 3k he was crippled to earlier this evening.

The Twigger is smarting after calling an all-in with on a three clubs flop against and managing to miss his 15 outs twice for a pretty big pot.

Two people who might well have been amongst the favourites when the event began have just clashed.

Lawrence Gosney raised from the button and Jim Moult made the call from the small blind.

An interesting came down and Moult checked, Gosney bet around 4k into a roughly 2.5k pot and Moult immediately moved all-in for about 13,350. Gosney dwelled for a bit before essentially calling for his tournament life with with Moult not totally unsurprisingly flipping for the nuts. The suddenly opened up a few possiblities for Gosney but the immediately slammed them shut and Jim Moult is up to almost 30k with Gosney down to 1k.

Incidentally, does anyone else think Gosney has to check behind on this flop? As played, he will end up doing all his chips on the turn but the flop is so terrible for his hand that he has to keep it small and just call a turn bet on a safe card before re-assessing the river?

Greg 'Junior' Hill, has just been knocked out, I don't think he really got going tonight.

Mr ChipRich Hare has doubled up. With some preflop raising in evidence in the pot, his opponent, I believe one Tom Lawton, checked the three clubs three diamonds flop, and then flat called 5,575 from ChipRich. He again checked the turn, and after some dwelling, called ChipRich's 6.3k all in.

Mr Probably Lawton:

Mr ChipRich:

River: an entirely irrelevant .

Here with halo, to prove that he is blessed:

The gent in green, looking ludicrously happy* for someone who has just busted out, is, er, OUT. I believe he is one Chris Kearney. Correct me please if you are in the know. Anyway, all in on a raggy flop with some sort of flopped pair, the gesticulating gent also below, I understand one Paul Hardy, had an open-ended straight draw, which hit on the turn.

A hand of massive bizarreness and unusualitude.

It seems that Lucy Rokach limped in from the button, as did Mr Mateyboy on the small blind. Mr Paul Lammas went all in from the big blind, and Lucy also went all in. Mateyboy called.

Lammas: A-9
Boy: K-Q
Rokach: 2-7

Board: A-Q-2-X-2

Oh dear. Messrs Lammas and Mateyboy are goners, and Ms Rokach was wearing her most dignified expression to disguise the fact that she just knocked out two players with 2-7.

Lucy Rokach is out. Jim Moult informed us that she raised A-2o UTG and got two callers before firing 5k on the 5-3-2 flop, one player moved all-in for 23k who she barely covered. She made the call and was up against pocket tens and failed to improve and exited soon after.

Boy band member down! It's like Take That all over again.

LeKnave found himself short and took to shoving. He did it with T-7 and doubled up an even shorter stack who found K-Q, and then tried it again with pocket Fours but ran into pocket Kings.
