And no sooner are they back than another one bites the tournament dust.

Mickey Wernick raises to 30k on the button, and big blind Matthew Wadham announces all in. Call.

Wernick:
Wadham:

Board: three diamonds Two Diamonds

Thus, with much gentlemanly handshaking and a cheery, "Right, who's going to give me my money?" Matthew Wadham is OUT in 5th place winning £2,262 and Mickey is up to around 300k.

Mickey Wernick just stubbed his toe check/raising Tony Salmon all-in on a board, Salmon quickly called with whilst Wernick could only show . "Club, club please," asked Wernick and was almost rewarded by the on the turn but it was followed by the on the river and Wernick had his stack cut in half.

Our super-mega-hyperspeed final careens on, and we have another casualty.

Mickey Wernick makes it 30k from the small blind, and Michael Humphries calls.

Mickey checks the flop, and Humphries goes all in. Insta-call.

Wernick:
Humphries:

Turn:
River:

Therefore with some understandable disappointment Mickey Wernick is OUT in 4th place winning £3,132.

Michael Humphries seems to be more or less unstoppable, although he might pause every once in a while.

He raised to 35k on the button only for Thomas Grundy to go all in from the big blind. He briefly considered it before announcing, "Go on, I'll get you in a minute," and folding.

Tony Salmon and Tom Grundy see a flop where Salmon check/calls Grundy's 12k bet before both check the turn. On the river, Salmon again checks and Grundy bets 30k now and Salmon folds.

Hmmm....

Michael Humphries who is quite curious of us doing 'live poker hand histories' raises to 35k from the button and Salmon makes the call. Grundy folds and dashes off to the toilet faster than people running to the buffet at GUKPT Newcastle.

three clubs

Salmon leads out for 41k and Humphries folds quickly.

Incidentally, there's been no talk of any deals, and with Humphries' stack, it seems unlikely there will be one.

not that I like to comment on a players 'play' or 'style' but I shared a table with this rooneyesque gent on day 1 and he seemed to be permanently jammed into 'auto-call', sucking out for fun! he'd probably prefer to pass a kidney stone than top pair!

good luck to him though, it clearly works!

Tom Grundy moves in over the top of Michael Humphries button raise and the latter makes the call.

Grundy:

Humphries:

three clubs

Grundy on roughly 400k, Humpries drops to about 500k.

---

Soon after Tony Salmon is all-in on a flop with three diamonds but Humphries is holding , the turn and river are and .

So Tony Salmon is eliminated in 3rd place winning £4,698.

---

This left us heads up and immediately the two chatted about a deal. Michael Humphries was happy to play on or deal and left the decision on Grundy who thought about and agreed to deal.

Tom Grundy will pick up £8,939 by chip count whilst Michael Humphries is the winner taking home £10,375 and more importantly, the Dusty Bin trophy!

How far Tom Grundy got through his dinner during the HU before they agreed a deal.

Right, we're done then for the evening and we're going to play Chinese poker and rail Jen in the £100 event. Junglecat and Snoops will be running the show from Thursday at the GUKPT in Luton. So until then, toodlepip!!!

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
