It's the same in many nightclubs.  Some will allow trainers, some don't.  Up to you which club you decide to go to isn't it?

St Patrick's night at Luton was funny.  On arriving at reception I was asked to remove my hat before going into the casino, only to be presented with a nice novelty guinessy/shamrocky number when I got to the cardroom Smiley

so what's the official line on hats? allowed or not?

Getting past reception could be likened to trying to get an appointment at your doctors surgery - difficult.

take them off when you go in and put them back on in the card room

I wouldn't let you wear trainers in my house.  In fact, I doubt I'd let you in at all...

The idea is not to be wearing hats at the tables because the camera's view can be blocked, face hidden etc

No trainers is a winner with me, i am sure there is a stanley's or something in town with a 50p roulette table and no dress code.

Can't have hats on the Gaming  floor. You'll get away with it if you only wear it in the Poker room. Don't even waste your time trying with trainers.

All joking aside guys, you'll NOT get in if you are wearing Trainers. A score or more players were refused entry on Day 1a of last week's GUKPT.
