Just a quick news item for those who enjoyed prior series... http://blondepoker.com/?q=node/20743At first, I thought this show was old fashioned, and taking poker back a step or two with it's big money and seedy backroom setting. I thought that was a stereotype we were trying to get away from. The show's pretty darn popular though, so I guess I was wrong.

great show because it isnt just about big hand v big hand confrontations- there was some really good poker played. One thing that stood out last year was how far ahead robert williamson and kirk morrison were of the other players. Neil channing was the only one of ours to hold his own. I have heard some other names playing this year and it should make great tv

Vaguely remember one hand and I think Williamson folded top trips? And he was behind when he made the pass. I may have confused the hand but he made a major laydown.

robert williamson played the part of a drunk ( some of the players seemed to be taken in by the act) but still played for me what was one of the most amazing cash games I have ever seen. I dont think he made a single error in the whole game and made about 4 unbelievable laydowns. NC was also very impressive I have to say.

rumour has it that phil laak is going to try and do the whole 36 hours without a break. If he manages that I will be very impressed although if he runs bad it could be very expensive

Tony G ran like god and Devilfish ran like.....not god, which was funny. The commentary from Greekfish was erm, interesting? Poker Den is the best home grown poker show right now and 2nd only to High Stakes Poker. Lets get Dave Smith on there.
