Further to the Grand-Prix raked Pot thread... I have just aquired the full details of Walsall Grand Prix and it apears that as well as a 10% entry fee to the events (Grand Prix final not included)  there will also be an aditional 10% rake of the prize pool???...Surely Not?

Okay..one phone call later and..
Entry fees no rake on some comps ..
No entry fee and 10% rake on at least one other...sorted... Phew!
Still I agree with Tikay...it`s the beginning of the end and we need to start a "Leave Our Money Alone" movement.

That's my understanding Pete - the £100 Freezeout is traditionally Reg Fee'd, the others are "Embedded". (Or 't'other way round). The GP itself has been discussed seperately.

"Leave Our Money Alone" - on that we agree! Strangely (to me, anyway), almost everyone else seems very relaxed about it. What will be will be.

Congrats on your new sponsorship Deal, though I don't envy you the "Forum" side of the task - running, or being responsible for, a Poker Forum, can be very rewarding. And it can be hell......

Good Luck, anyway.

Ahh, my apologies, I misread the article. A "responsibility" well avoided, imo.

This trial of raked prize pools is to be rolled out through the entire group over the coming months, that must spell the end for re-buy comps if they too are raked or should that be ....raped!

Freezeouts work @10% why would rebuys not work at 5%?
