Tronde Erik Eidsvig has to win best newcomer and player of the year, even though I kinda think these awards (other than a services to poker one) are a bit silly as a player of the year one is surely with the sub-line "Award for the player who ran most like God".
I think Elky will win best performance even though imo Jason Mercier's win at the final in San Remo was better due to the sheer quality of opposition and the way he did it and made some tricky (dare I say, 'Heroic') calls.
Danny Ryan for best overseas player, though he'll probs be beaten by Timex unless the latter wins best newcomer.
