i played in my mates local the other week and they had a sb and bb disk that got moved round same at the button lol never seen anything like it
game I played in last night had a duck that got passed around with the button, it sat on top of it. not a real duck obv, a little rubber toy one
I like that. we should have rubber ducks for buttons at the blonde bash imo
no, you're not getting it, the duck wasn't the button it was sitting on the button

I understood that - just thought it would be easier to take the button out of the equation to prevent possible balance issues.

Surely this would make more sense then a real duck can be used, now that would be a fun game

not sure how well that would work - some unscrupulous so-and-so would bring a bag of bread to the table to ensure that he gets to keep the button.

wouldn't work. you'd get a situation like last night when the owner of the duck gets knocked out and goes to play cash taking it with him.
in your version there would now be no button at all and chaos would ensue whereas our game continued seamlessly just with no duck

that's not a problem - I'm sure it's in the grosvenor rules somewhere that the duck-button has to stay at the table until the table breaks.

Has anybody been to a Duck Do?
probably not
this next bit doesn't warrant a thread of its own so I'll write it here as I have this one open
I am at the moment sat on a hotel computer watching a very drunk man dressed as an elf trying to open a door with his roomkey. the door isn't locked, I'm not even sure it has a keyhole, it just opens up onto a corridor. he's been trying to open it for about 3 minutes now, I haven't got the heart to tell him to just pull the handle, I've left it for too long

you could either:
a) pretend you haven't seen him and carry on what you're doing or
b) pretend that you, too, have a need to go through that door, and hold it open for him.
