I've been having a look for some software that might allow the embryonic Blonde Investment Club to carry out
democratic, online, meetings.
I think it's important that the chairperson has control of the 'chat' and it's not a free-for-all. I would like it to be possible for attendees to put their virtual hand up and appear, in order, on the chairperson's screen. The chairperson can then give access to each member in turn. Hopefully they would be able to 'stop' a member's 'turn' should the need arise. I think a basic 'chat' facility would be okay but extra 'bells & whistles' like desktop sharing and a white board facility could be useful in the future.
I've found a couple of free sites that purport to do online meetings and it
looks like they have the necessary features -
www.dimdim.com &
www.yugma.com. Would it be possible for someone that has experience in such things to take a look at these to see what they think, to see if they would be fit for purpose? Perhaps a simpler, more elegant solution exists?
Thanks in advance.
