what basis are people coming up with the spend more time in the gym stuff? He's always seemed pretty dedicated on any of the stuff on him. Certainly looks to have amore professional set up than say hatton.

How exactly do you train someone to take a punch? I always thought that was something natural- I'm not just talking about last nigh either. The little Scottish bloke had him on his backside v easily too.

Don't boxing people always talk about big knockouts making people more prone tobeing knocked out again? They were very heavy knockouts, not just legs going, his head nearly hit the floor at the same time.

He can still be managed to a world title but he will never be a great imo.

No, he's certainly spent time in the gym.  He bulked up a hell of a lot.  It's not the physical side we're talking about.  How much serious sparring has he done?  How much time and effort has been put into studying his opponent, improving his defence, his fight strategy?

Hatton is a student of the game.  He spends hours studying his opponents, studying his own fights, trying to improve.

Like I said, any fighter who can bang a bit will put down an opponent if they're given a free shot.  The answer is don't get hit on the button.  This involves working on your defence in terms of your guard, your foot-work, distance, working behind your jab, etc.  However, Khan wanted to come out against a hard-hitting opponent with his head hanging out asking to be hit.  He'd been floored twice before by opponents who certainly weren't world-class.  So what does that suggest?  To me it suggests he was too easy to hit.  But we all knew this and expected him to have concentrated on this for this fight.

Of course there are some fighters who appear to have heads made from granite who seem to be able to take a huge amount of punishment.  You can can do some training in this area (develop neck muscles, etc.), but I suspect that it's virtually all natural thing that you have or you haven't got.  Khan hasn't, obviously.

I don't think it's a cause and effect thing.  I think it's rather the case of a fighter who is prone to getting tagged by big shots will get tagged with big shots again.

One of the alphabet spaghetti world titles is certainly a possibility (probability?).  But he'll have to improve on his defence and his overall fight strategy if he's going to operate at the top of his division.

He didn't just lose it though, he was totally in the wrong class.

lol, Sky will be happy with their outlay!

bad night for Warren.

they had an £8m deal in total with ITV(they must be pissing themselves laughing btw) and i was just reading that he's being sued by setanta as well.

I dont know what deal he's got with sky but to break even at £15 a go they would've needed 250,000 viewers, i dont know how many they got but forget about a PPV career(in a topping the bill capacity anyway) for a while.

I wonder how much sky have done?

Also i was reading that Warren said his new trainer picked the opponent and said he didn't know much about him

At £500 for pubs and clubs, I wonder how much Sky make from PPV events like that.

Glad I didn't have to pay for it.

Just saw clip of Warren interview - he seems very quick to hint that the new trainer picked the opponent - looks like a "not me guv" clear attempt to find a scapegoat. If Warrens not vetting the opponent then maybe he's not doing a very good job??

The slow motion of the left hook .... ouch!!

Ouch indeed!   Haven't witnessed carnage like that in a big fight for a few years!

Khan should be thankful that the couple of big shots that just missed him on the way down never landed.
