Flushy why are you chasing the biggies these days. by that I mean the 1000+ fields on FTP/Stars. I have no doubt you are +ev in them, but you always in the past have shyed at the varience these fields produced.
Is this a product of a taking a shot. trying to be the next Moorman( slightly a piss take as i you 2 seem to be mates) and a purely +ev standpoint. Is cash games the future?
You have staked many ppl on blonde, what are you views on staking especially as an +ev prop. Fwiw now that im aware of the facts, i have shyed aware from staking.

Made the final of the ladbrokes $200w1 2nd/10 obviously bust 8th when i get 2 raises snapped off, lose a flip then run AK into a flopped flush on a K hi board. Just bubbled the hi lo 2nd chance and decided to try and win 1/4 flips vs DJK123 in the shootout 2nd chance.
Overall a poor night, sigh.

I very rarely play the 1000+ runner comps, most are i the 200-500 range, they are a killer for variance and i don't think i have ever won a comp with more than 500 runners!!

Moorman has deffo shaped my current playing patterns, he was right about my lack of volume and so now i try to play as many tables as i can when i am playing multi's volume is the king!

I do most of my staking off forum and it can be profitable as well as rewarding, there are of course downsides especially if you don't trust the person you stake on a long term deal.
In terms of best profit buying shares of winning players @ 1-1 is the best way, no work for you and a g'td long term return!

even i can answer that and its the grosvenor by far but its such a shit hole and there isnt a lot to win there so its not worth going down there
The softest game in brighton overall is probably the Mint casino! they do a £20r on a tuesday(NO REG FEE!!!!!!!!!!) they get 30 odd runners and if u know the difference between a straight and a flush ur pretty much guarunteed the final with £600 to the winner... they have some policies that i dont agree with tho

They dont allow headphones... not even in the cardroom and when u c the people there u need them
ur also allowed to tell people what hand you have so makes it easier for people to collude or whatever
also the guy who works there isnt really that bothered and cant wait to get out of there... usually he is at the grosvenor or randezvous before me wen ive played at the mint

I've never played in the mint before however as Khalid says the Grov is probably softer but it is lower stakes than the Rendezvous.
I play pretty much exclusively at the Rendezvous because the comps are bigger, the cash is much bigger and the atmosphere/surroundings are 10x better.
Khalid did you know Nick, Rod and my m8 Ed from school are getting a flat on Preston street, maybe the odd trip to the mint will be on the cards!

Flushy,
If this is too personal, just ignore, but......
You mentioned your late father.
I recall being shocked down at Brighton one day last year when you told me you'd just been to his Memorial Service, (& were thus late for a Tourney at Rendezvous, so I think I bought you in) & we chatted about him a bit.
You never seem to mention him much, (though I know, this is a poker Forum), & there were no outward signs to the wide world that you'd lost your Dad.
Do you miss him?
Did you get on well?
Did/does it matter to you that he is or was proud of you?
What did he think of your "playboy" lifestyle?
These are genuine (if rather forward) questions, & I'll understand if you'd prefer not to respond in public.
I'm just curious about the way youngsters perceive their Parents. There's a reason for my curiosity, but that's another story.
Nice start to the Diary, by the way. Poker Blogs & run-of-the-mill Flop Stories bore me to tears, Hand Histories make my eyes glaze over, but I like to see pokerists "outside" of poker, so many of them are totally one (poker) dimensional & have no abilty to converse outside of poker.
Not sure how to answer this post as i don't really want to post up all my personal feelings on an internet forum, i know some do but not really my thing.
I will give you some short answers though and i do not mind you asking, i would be more open in person.
Yes i do miss him, although in terms of him being a regular fixture in my life not really as the last few years the only times i heard from him were when he called me usually drunk leading to me usually trying to get off the phone!
Yeah we got on well, we were both very stubborn which obviously made things difficult at times however i still loved being around him, playing games, talking etc i had a happy upbringing and most of it was spent with my Dad who i greatly admired.
For someone who accomplished quite a lot in a short working career it always puzzled me why he seemed to not care too much about what myself and my brother wanted to do once we completed education. It's not to say he didn't care it was simply a lack of pressure, i think as long as we wanted to do what we were doing he would be happy. He was very supportive of me playing poker and would regularly ask how i got on, he himself started playing online a bit with bluesquare but stopped when they switched to iPoker as you can't play from Cyprus. I remember one time telling me he had won his first tournament i was very shocked given how he hadn't been playing long, he told me he had only played about 20! It was then that i realised he was talking about 6max STT's lol
It was a year ago yesterday that he died and he continues to be a paid in death with his estate still a long way from sorted!
Thanks for that. It answers a lot of questions.
I was aware that it was about a year since he passed away, but I'm sorry the timing of my question was so awful.

a few questions for the flushmeister plz
1) who do you rate out of the "circuit pros", how many would be long term winners in MTT's online?
2) what gets your heart pumping more? sex or making a massive bluff?
3) if worst comes to worse who are the 3 players from the uk circuit who you wouldnt want to play for your wages?
4) 1st hand of the sunday million you are UTG with AJo do you raise?
5) how many tournes behind me were you on tribeca?
