Congratulations Dave

You fully deserve to be top of the PLO European Rankings with the consistency you have shown this year.

Hopefully i will see you Sunday in the £1000 PLO at The Vic.

Unless one of the players below you wins the Master Classics Plo this year i can't see you getting caught.

All the best

Hi everyone and thanks for all your good luck wishes and congratulations also particularly to the various backers. Everyone has been paid apart from Flushy and NoFlopsHomer whp's money is on deposit at The Vic. All backers made around 550% ROI which i'm sure they will all be very happy with. Even Channing nearly got out of it with me!
I love PLO tournaments and this was a fantastically structured event and without doubt a world class field, i'm still slightly disappointed with the result and to be so card dead for the last 2 days. I was constantly looking for the pot to get back to average chips where i could now open up and utilise my post flop skills and renowned "touch of gamble". Eventtually i found it and came out on the wrong end but no complaints i enjoyed the exact opposite scenario with 2 tables left when i beat Boosted J's aces with 910jq allin pre. I'm very pleased i kept my discipline not something i'm always renowned for. As an example with 6 left and 35k of my 160k committed UTG with AKJ9 double suited i found a pass for the rest when Max Pescatori reraised the pot. This might seem like a bad pass but in 2 days of playing with Max in Vegas during the PLO and here i had never seen him go through with his routine reraise and not turn over aces. I honestly couldnt of passed the hand to any of the other 4 players but the strength of my read got me away from the hand, a year ago i'd of maybe noticed the same but likely ignored my read and gambled.
Simon yes i'll be playing the PLO at the Vic and probably the ones during the Heads Up in Barcelona and Masterclassics. I'm not sure if there is any prize money for the rankings as they don't seem to be sponsored at the moment but the prestige is enough. It probably pushes me up to 4 or 5 in all games rankings too so room for improvement there.

Im not sure what makes up the criteria or who decides, but I'd say Dave is a contender for the 'Blonde hall of fame' for this achievement.

Wait till the end of the year Mr. Shoelace, the #1 Omaha ranking for 2008 isn't in the bag yet.

I was basing it on the fact that a load of blondes staked him on a blonde thread and it ended with a nice return and a WSOPE final table. Not every day that happens.
