Beat me to it, have been there several times and gets my vote. Plus we can scrap the footie and have a Blonde Highland games.  Cheesy

it really depends on the attitude of the venues.

We went a long way towards having a bash in Brighton for example but the casino management didn't "get" it and we had to look elsewhere.

Places like Luton, DTD, Broadway, Walsall go a long way to making bashes financially palatable for us, as well as having sufficient capacity and transport links etc

Nothing to say we won't go to Oop North, but venue attitudes are pretty crucial.

even walsall/notts etc makes a big difference rather than going all the way to luton....

As long as the 'short walk back to the hotel', 'walking in a straight line' and 'how not to lose personal belongings' aren't highland games.

It's still a hotel near the casino though.  As is the hotel at the Ricoh ldo.

It's a waste of time discussing it anyway.  They don't have enough dealers do they?

True, but still not a good venue for hotels et al. Don't get me wrong, its a lovely casino...
