Now one of the "Young Guns " of Poker
HORNERIS
Hi Brent,,
How long have you been playing poker?
Ever since i introduced it to our 6th form college, then spent an entire 2 years playing 5p/10p and later 10p/20p cash and skipping every lesson to do so. Me and a couple of friends (not LeKnave & ChipRich) sometimes used to cheat and take home upto £20 a day profit, which was decent when i was like 17. It got very popular and a lot of the time there were 2 tables running in the common room.
Which sites do you play on?
Party, Full Tilt, Stars, Blonde
Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos?
I sometimes play at The Fox & Grapes . srsly, who plays in Pubs?!?!
I dont really like playing live much as its very boring but can rarely play at DTD, Moortown Grovesnor Leeds, ALEA Casino Leeds.
Had any big wins yet?
Erm, had a $7.5k win, a $6k win and numerous $5kish wins. No massive wins yet :-(
What are your other hobbies outside of Poker?
Gambling, Drinking, Lying down in a dark room, LoL owning LeKnave heads up, Playing tennis, going to watch Leeds United, Horse Racing, watching stuff on Ninjavideo.
Do you play every day?
No, i go through spells where i play every day for like 4 days and cant wait to play, but i also go through spells where i find Poker boring and don't wana play at all and just wana do other stuff.
Where did you go on holiday this year?
Just Florida. Although next year going to Florida, Canada and Vegas, weeee, cant wait.
How many miles a week do you drive?
I work 5 days a week and the place i work is 14 miles away.
So i guess 5 x 28 =140, and i go other places too such as Leeds matches and the casino occassionally, so i guess 200.
Do you prefer on line or Live?
Online definetly. I get so bored playing just 1 table at a time obviously live, and im a bit of an action junkie so its not really for me. I don't mind the odd live game tho when its a big tourn. Im not sure i see the point of travelling 200 miles to get it in with AK v JJ, when you can do it at home 10 times in a night and win 5 of them (well, 8 of them coz i run goooooot Smiley).
Who's your favorite Poker Pro?
Tom Dwan
Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish?
I played with Aces, until Acidmouse crushed him. He was pretty tez tho.
Played with Wernick, i didnt get into any pots with him but he valuetowned ChipRich pretty hard in a big hand.
Stuart Fox - he played well but didnt really do much. Seemed decent tho, but i guess thts ridic obv.
Whats your favorite restaurant,English, French, Eskimo,Rattisserrie, Norwedgian?
American all the way. The food over there is incred.
Does your wife/partner play poker?
i dont have time for either of the above atm. They might get in the way of the 8.50 at Wolverhampton, or some obscure football/tennis/insert sport match im heavily involved in.
Can I print this on the web site
Big Time.
Thanks
No thankyou sir Crow, i look forward to meeting you.

Tonight its poker Legend, the quiet but, skillful
KARABINER
As one of the original members of blonde, you must have many stories to tell
How long have you been playing poker ? Since around the time when tikay first started drawing his OAP, forty-odd years in other words
I remember in the first couple of weeks that the forum had been up and running tikay and I were having a little debate on unifying the rules of poker and the possibility of some kind of player's association(early APAT seedling?) and this new guy comes on the forum saying something like "this is an intelligent discussion, I wish I was brainy enough to join in". That was the first time that I encountered my now good friend Red-dog.
Which sites do you play on? Blonde, Full Tilt, Blue Sq(mainly satellites), and occasionally PokerStars.
Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos ? I'm lucky enough to have DTD as my local and I play there more than anywhere else, but Luton and Walsall and the odd jaunt to The Vic are others where I sometimes play.
Had any big wins The £300+1R at Nottingham Gala in 2005 for just under £11k and winning a seat to the ME at the WSOP also in 2005 are my biggest cashes I suppose.
Do you play every day? Only weekdays and weekends Smiley
Where did you go on holiday this year? Thailand
How many miles a week do you drive? Not that many these days 200/300
Do you prefer on line or Live? I like live play with polite people, and I like online play for keeping the expenses down
and being able to play naked whilst drinking a glass of wine.
Who's your favorite Poker Pro? None that I can think of
Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish? I used to play with Devilfish a couple of times a week for years, Mickey Wernick too, mainly in cash games. There were many top pros who used to play in the Midlands 15/20 years ago, Lucy Rokach, Tom Gibson, Derek Webb, Dave Colclough and many more.
Whats your favorite restaurant,French, Italian, spud u like, Chinese? French, closely followed by the others
Does your wife/partner play poker? I am happily single these days
Can I print this on the web site?b With pleasure
Thanks you are clearly a top player having mixed with the best 2 gold Stars Good Answers

And now our lovely Staff Lady
Djinn
Hi Djinn
I have seen your blonde profile and most of the Questions are answered So how have things changed since you first joined
Wow that profile was written so long ago it is covered in virtual dust - I have to give that a once-over pretty soon I reckon - better not reprint the old one as it's very much out of date... So in between doing that (on the list for this week):
Since I first joined I know a lot more people's names-to-faces (but am still caught out sometimes), but the numbers of lurkers and posters has grown tremendously. The update team - which used to be me and Tikay back in the day - is now five-strong and where there used to be the two of us on a coffee table with no power cord at the EPT there are now hundreds of poker bloggers and journalists following the tours.
How often do you play I play live around once a month, and pretty much every day on my sofa.
have you been on holiday this year, anywhere nice I went to Aruba last year ostensibly to play the tournaments but when I discovered how nice it was there I just went snorkelling for a week instead.
What is your favorite Restaurant, Mexican , Japanese. Mongolian Mongoose, or Giraffe
I love Japanese food. Danafish and I made sushi the other day. It almost stayed in one piece.
Can I print the answers on the web site GL with your cataloging efforts - I will try to update my aged profile.
All the best
Jen

Now a Lovely Lady who has helped me many times
SUPERNOVA
How long have you been playing poker ?
In March 2007 I had my first game on a 2p/4p cash table on Sky, I thought I was playing for a fortune!
Which sites do you play on ?
I Have old friends on Sky & PKR so mainly there, occasionally FT, Stars, Blue Sq , and it's harder to hit a moving target you know.
Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos
Oh no no no,tbh the axeman episode changed me and I stopped going out,so meeting real people and playing live has been a stupidly scary thing for me and I've bottled it a few times. However I've recently got membership to a card room and a mate is going to drag me there in the next week or so, even if it's kicking screaming or looking like a zombie she said. The latter might help with the poker face too.
Had any big wins yet
Big wins to me are probably peanuts to most, nothing certainly life changing - yet.
Do you play every day
I used to but found having a break and watching more made a big difference to my game so now I don't because you always have to learn and that never stops, the minute you do forget it.
Where did you go on holiday this year
Costa del Feltham twinned with a 2 night shopping extravaganza in Charlton Village and Chertsey
How many miles a week do you drive
About 100 miles as the crow flies, well most of them do, except this one of course. I also have the option of 175 to take the therapeutic route along the M3 and M25, seeing lots of miserable people stuck in a jam having a row makes me realise how lucky I am and before I know it I'm happily singing my head off and it usually stops those around me rowing and going into panic mode thinking they have got a nutter in the car next to them.
Do you prefer on line or Live
On line - but that may change who knows.
Who's your favorite Poker Pro
Julian of course, firstly because he's good obv, but's he's such a nice guy and has bags of guts and determination and persevered for so long before Baden he's been an inspiration to probably lots of players like me who erm yoyo. There are lots that come to mind for maybe one particular trait but for all of the above it has to be him. A truly multidimensional player ( eat your heart out Chompy).
Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish
Only passing through on Sky, Tikay, El Blondie, and a few others in celeb sit and go's but not properly
Whats your favorite restaurant,French, Italian, Turkish or Yeti Burgers
Um, as a foodie I love most things, and will try almost anything at least once, well except deep fried bugs. For me you just can't beat
a chicken donner from King Kebab in Feltham high street, simply the best and fantastic after a few beers. Top lads in there too, great football banter.
Can I print this on the web site
Of course you can hon, as always, it's been a pleasure talking to you. It's been a while since you visited my hay loft and said hi to the horses.
Thanks Nova, your an exploded Star

And now the very lovely
HOLDorFOLD
Hi Michelle Hellllllloooooooo Crow (hugs)
How long have you been playing poker ?
18 months
Which sites do you play on
It varies on my mood. When I'm in a chatty mood I play on Sky (HOLDorFOLD). If I'm in a "I want a good session of poker mood then Full Tilt (FlameFireFox), once a week on PKR (Burntsienna).
I have most of the others loaded due to whatever Freeroll Poker Player were running Grin
Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos
Only ever played live at Casinos, and only ventured into that this year (Luton G), a couple of others for Live Sky events
Had any big wins yet
Depends what you think big is Wink I've Final Tabled Sky Open (forget how much is was - blimey, didnt think I'd forget that), and Final Tabled twice in Velocity. On Full Tilt I had a couple of $300+ wins recently.
Do you play every day
Guilty as charged your Honor. I work from home and it just so happens that Sky or Full Tilt opens automatically when I boot my mac up ....
.... did I get away with that
Where did you go on holiday this year
What the hell is a holiday?Huh??? Last time I went abroad was ooooooo over 5 years ago.
How many miles a week do you drive
hmmmmmm about 50-100. I love night time driving so tend to just jump in the car and drive around and stop at service stations for coffee at 3am (exciting life hey)
Do you prefer on line or Live
Live anyday - although my bankroll doesn't allow it to be too regular. I'm happy with small stakes online and if I have a good month work-wise I treat myself to a game or two at Luton.
Who's your favorite Poker Pro
I don't actually have one.
Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish
Not likely - strictly small fish here - plankton even
Whats your favorite restaurant,English, Cheap, Expensive,Eskimo , Italian
ITTTALLLLIIIAAAANNNNNNNNNNN FTW
(although VERY partial to a pukka greasy spoon cafe for full fry-up WITH chips)
Can I print this on the web site
Of course, although technically can you Print it on a website? (sits back and waits for Kinboshi or someone to prove me wrong there lol)
Thanks
Your very welcome
And one for The Crow ....
Is that Avatar really you? Wink
CROW>> yes pal it is

Tonight its the POKER NUT
ED INDESTRUCTABLE
Hi ED,
As an early member of blonde , how have things changed ?
Mainly in the number of Blondeites and the number of posts. It's much harder to keep up to date on what's happening and often miss out on news of big wins etc.
How long have you been playing poker ?
I have played cards all my life and was mainly a Cribbage player, up until 4 years ago when I started to play poker.
Which sites do you play on
I have accounts with 14 poker sites, but only actively play on a few of them. My first was Ladbrokes and still with them, as well as Blonde and Full Tilt. I haven't had as much time to play online of late, but when I have played I tend to play more on Blonde.
Do you play live at pubs, clubs or Casinos
I don't play many live tournaments apart from special ones like Blonde bashes. I played in my first WSOP event in Vegas this year and although I lost it was a great experience.
Had any big wins this year
My best internet win was a satellite to the GCBPt event in Teesside taking place soon.
Do you play every day
No and sometimes when I am very busy i might have a quick Rottweiler turbotastic tourney just to have a game.
Where did you go on holiday this year
This year I have been to Vegas, Exeter, Spain & the Lake District. best of all though was a trip to the Olympics in Beijing (for the price of £10 in raffle tickets) Cheesy
How many miles a week do you drive
I have done 75,000 miles in the last 3 years, a combination of business trips and following Man City.
Do you prefer on line or Live
Online is great but can never be as exciting as playing live.
Who's your favorite Poker Pro
Phil Hellmuth = Legend.
Ever played a Poker Pro, like Aces or Devilfish
Bad beat story alert. I am playing Joe Beevers of the Hendon Mob and have pocket aces, he has nine jack suited. Joe is short on chips and we are all in preflop. Joe then wins the hand with quad nines.
Whats your favorite restaurant,French, Horse burger ,Crispy Camal, spud u like, Chinese 0r Indian
All of the above, but if I had to choose it would be Chinese (Gars in Brighton is good) with Italian a close 2nd.
Does your wife/partner play poker
She is a poker widow and watches a fair amount of poker on tv and knows how to play. She knows what she is doing and plays in occasional home games, but won't play in a casino as she reckons that blokes take it far too seriously.
It was great to meet you at the bash , thanks ED
