Live £100 freezeout

2 tables remain, 7 paid

blinds are 600-1200, average is 20,000 or so

Folded to.......

SB. Tight player in my experience. Completes. 13,000 stack

BB, me, raises with to 4,000. 16,000 stack

SB Re-raises all in instantly

Having played with the fella a fair bit, never seen this from him before. Normally pretty ABC, but this seems funky. I'm not the sort of LAGgy BB who is going to raise a wide range in the bb blind-on-blind, so the limp re-raise opportunity isn't going to happen foir him often

Please comment on size of my raise and your calling range versus the SB's push

I think you've got yourself into a bit of a pickle here, effectively he's playing just over 10+ blinds so can we not just set him from the off?

Any ante's?    If there is, def set him in...

If you dont like the shove, raise to 3200ish if you have any thoughts of folding to re-raise...

No antes

I think my raise size was wrong, but tbh I raised without a subsequent plan..expected a quick fold from this player.

Live and learn.

This is a tough one cos he makes this move with something huge....but doesn't necessarily mean he has something huge...

2 to 1 on a call...

I dunno man, AQ and I'm calling, but I think with the read I lay this one down. Still have plenty of fold equity..

I'm calling here.

900 to call 1700. 34% into final pot.

You're close to having 34% chance against most hands that are beating you (except AA) - AK,AQ, KK , QQ, JJ.

So to fold I think you need to believe that it's more likely he has AA than making a move with any other hand not listed above (and unless villain is a real rock - hard to believe) . The only time I might fold here is close to bubble in satellite or SitnGo (i.e. when it is -$EV even though +cEV.)

I agree with other blondies and suggest smaller bet pre flop - perhaps 3k - so that you can get away if you want if he moves all in.

Ironically if he had a bigger stack than you, you could probably have got away from it.

Fuck me. I hate A-J real bad. Also, all I hear are comments 'sick' or 'cooler' about every single hand at the moment.

Your oppo has 10xbb so if he has a big hand he will probably slow-play to try and maximise his value. What are his other options if he has a big hand? Putting like a third of his stack in with a standard raise? So unless he is bored or frustrated he will have a big hand. The fact that you are tight suggests he's not doing this with 10-10 or whatever because the risk of you not raising is high. So it is probably K-K. If he pushed a bit slower it would be A-A. I suppose it's a snap-call anyway because you are in the midst of some kind of sick cooler situation obv.

I don't think its a cooler

I think the raise size is bad. Definitely didn't consider this particular player might shove

I passed, player dependent here. I also think this was probably awful.

I agree that it is player dependent Tighty. The player in question is tight ABC and you have NEVER seen him do this before. Also if he knows you he prob respects you for a hand and therefore he knows his FE isn't very good. If passing to this player is awful then what sort of player would make a pass ok?
