ENFJ type description by J. Butt and M.M. Heiss

...

This link for a description

I looked up my 'type' and what it means, etc.

I don't know if I'm any wiser/better/happier knowing though.  What can I do with it?  I guess if I was on one of those company 'away days' (where they give you a length of rope, a plastic crate, some card and a goat and you have to work out a way to transport the goat across a river) and they were putting teams together, I'd be better alongside some introvert-leaning types so that we make a well-balanced team.  Other than that...

They're widely used to make a lot of money for occupational/business psychologists in pre-job screening (Level A/Level B testing) and I believe in them in principle. Some people clearly have a more creative bent and can dream up fancy plans but would probably be unsuitable in a humdrum rote type job, to give an example. In my opinion, they are also useful for partner selection. Hardly very romantic, but you do wonder wtf an ESTP/similar would ever want to be doing with an INXX.

Drown the goat, gut it, sew up the ends leaving the skin inflated, and float across.

Your Type is ENFP

Extraverted   Intuitive   Feeling   Perceiving
Strength of the preferences %
78   50   62   44

ENFPs are initiators of change, keenly perceptive of possibilities. They energize and stimulate others through their contagious enthusiasm. They prefer the start-up phase of a project or relationship, and are tireless in the pursuit of new-found interests. ENFPs are able to anticipate the needs of others and to offer them needed help and appreciation. They bring zest, joy, liveliness, and fun to all aspects of their lives. They are at their best in situations that are fluid and changing, and that allow them to express their creativity and use their charisma. They tend to idealize people, and can be disappointed when reality fails to fulfill their expectations. They are easily frustrated if a project requires a great deal of follow-up or attention to detail.

Champions delight in novelty. They are optimistic, enthusiastic, and vivacious, craving expressions of strong emotion. With a dramatic flair, they share their experiences with others, hoping to reveal some universal truth or win others over in support of a cause. Attuned to possibilities, Champions scan their environment, probing the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. This sensitivity sometimes conflicts with their intense drive for personal authenticity. Spontaneous and personable, they attract others to their company.[6]

hey sista!!

I did the test for a work thing years ago.  Most of my colleagues were ISTJ's and it was considered that that was the most suitable personality type for the work I do.  No wonder I don't like it much!!

I was thinking of sticking it on the 8:25 ferry, but that solution would do the trick as well.
