Thursday , everything i planned to do went wrong and i finally arrived at my hotel at 2am .

I slept till 12 and awoke still tired so left it till 2pm before leaving for the casino.

The first 4 levels i mixed it up including a laydown against Praz after limping fp with AK , he made it 525 , BB called , i raised to 2500 , Praz asked how much i was playing , it was 4500 more , he min raised to 5000 and i folded , either this was a stone cold bluff representing KK or AA with the comnination of a question followed by a min raise that if i am going to call i a more likely to move in or he had the goods ( he later told me he had QQ )

Anyway by the time our table breaks i am back up to 7000.

My new table has another nemesis , this time it is Albert from the Vic , first i raise to 700 after 2 limpers and he calls for 500 in his BB , flop is A 2 3 , he check calls my continuation bet then fires on the turn , luckily for me i had no A as Albert had 45 !

Next he limps for 200 and the SB raises to 500 , i reraise to 1275 , Albert calls and the SB folds , flop is A high , i check and Albert bets , i fold my KK face up and he shows his AJ mmm . Down to 5600.

Finally Albert proves to be my saviour , after 2 limpers he also calls as do 2 more , i have AK in the BB and over push for 4900 to pick up the 1450 , all fold to Albert who " gives me a spin " with his AQ doubling me up.

I then get lucky , blinds have risen to 300 600 , an early position player raises to 1600 , all fold to SB who calls 600 , the dealer correctly states he has the option to fold or make up the 1600 and he folds , with 3050 in the pot i call with A7s in the BB . Flop is A 7 4 and i lead out for 5000 as raiser only has 5600 , he goes all in with his AJ and i am over average for the first time.

I float between 18,000 and 23,000 until the final level , this is level 9 , blinds 500 1000 , ante 75 , i win 2 nice pots with AQ and AK and after everyone has been slow playing to make day 2 , with 2 minutes left and 1 limper i find 99 on the button and raise to 6500 , all fold and i make day 2 with 33,000+

Dana very kindly lends me her laptop to write this , it is 2am and i am knackered.

I have over average but with 60+ players for day 2 and only 18 getting paid there is a long way to go.

Cheers

Day 2

Dropped to 25,000 then limped with AK , one more limped and a player raised to 10,000 , i reraised all in and he called with AT , took me up to 50,000.

Not much happened for first 4 hours then we had the buffet.

I got a timely double up when the button raised to 12,000 and i flat called with TT in the SB as i knew the BB was folding and i didn't want to race for my last 16,000 , flop was  5 6 7 and i moved in and was called by the button with 88 , he missed and i was back up to 60,000

I then won a nice pot with KK , blinds were 2000 4000 , i made it 14,000 and Dave Penly called in the BB , flop was 9 5 3 and Dave bet out 16,000 , he is a good player and well capable of leading with a set but i decided to push hoping at best he had TT or JJ , he asked for a count and tried to talk me into revealing the strength of my hand before finally folding what he said was 77 . I now had 100,000

Last hand before the break after level 8 i again picked up KK but no callers but having picked up a few blinds and a nice min reraise with 24 after raising on the button on a 7 6 6 2 flop i found myself comfortable with 139,000.

We quickly dropped from 21 to the 18 required for the money and i was moved , at this point i went card dead . One player took 2 players out back to back and raised a third time , i smooth called with 33 , flop was J 9 3 , he checked and i was happy to pick up the 44,000 to get back to 110,000.

Small stacks were pushing and we were down to 12 having reached the next jump in prize money of £2800 , i made a raise to 24,000 with blinds 4000 8000 and got reraised to 65,000 so folded leaving approx 68,000, average was 180,000 .

Then a local player Liam raised to 24,000 and got reraised to 70,000 by Dave P and folded , meanwhile on the other table in two back to back hands we lost 2 players so were down to 10 with money increasing to £3300 when Liam raised to 24,000 and again Dave P reraised to 70,000 , this time Liam moved all in and Dave called with JJ ( the hand before he had showed TT ) Liam had AK , flop was J high and somehow i have made my the final and i am now guaranteed £5650.

I am shortest stack with 50,100 but feel like i am freerolling as with 12 left unless i had got a double up in the next round i was expecting no better than £2800.

We have to be back for 2pm for interviews , pictures and lunch then restart at 3pm.

I know it is a longshot as average is 251,000 but i wont just be throwing my chips away and settling for 9th.

Regardless i have just made my 2nd £1000 event final back to back so i feel that i still have some ability lol.

Congratulations to my backers who are looking at a minimum return of £3248.75

I'll keep this short , i really fancied a decent result if i could get an early double up.

I had an awful draw between the 3 biggest stacks and was under the gun first hand folding 9To , the very next hand all folded to the chip leader who had just won 80,000  in the first hand to take him up to 500,000 and was SB , he announced all in and finding 88 in my BB i quickly called , he tabled K4o , pot was 103,100 , first card was the K , cue sick feeling that lasted 20 minutes .

Okay i only had quarter the average but with blinds 4000 8000 i truly believe i would have had a chance if my 88 had held up.

Never mind , here are the payouts due to my lucky stakers.

 Evil Pie ( Matt ) 20%  £1,130

Simon Nowab 15% £847.50

Tony Minnis 5% £282.50

Julian Thew 5% £282.50

Tikay 5% £282.50

Red Simon 2.5% £141.25

Scott Mcgee 2.5% £141.25

Robbiebox (Jon) 2.5% £141.25

Total Pay out £3248.75

ROI on investment for both Vic and Thanet approx 23.5.

Taking a couple of days off , will contact all to arrange payment Wednesday.

Cheers
