pre season even after berbatov went(or everyone knew he was going) spurs were jollies to win the premiership without the big 4, how they worked that out i dont know, where they thought the goals were gonna come from is beyond me, defoe, keane and berbatov gone, even a fat mido spurs could do with. the bookmakers mangled that one, bent who has spent the last year on the bench and some russian dude and bar the top 4 spurs to win the premiership?

I am fairly confident of this one winning:
English Soccer / Barclays Premier League / Winner w/o Big 4 Tottenham Lay 5642828286 14-Jul-08 11:06 3.5 20.00 3.5 14-Jul-08 14:09
Thats a £20 lay at 3.5 - its not the easiest to work out i know.

imo spurs are totally overrated and have been for some time. They have always had a good squad but never converted that talent into results. Villa and the signings theyve made this year made them an almost definate to be at least top 6. But with the downfall i think Villa will be 5th come end of the season. I don't think Man City will do it this year, but next year they may be top 4. Villa were always a top 6 team when the leagues were a lot closer, it'd be nice to establish ourselves as top 6 club again

A good couple of minutes for Spurs but Gomes still looks like putting through his own net given half a chance.
