If i knew what i knew now I'd back Demidov and Marquis. But short of Kim and Suharto I think any of the other seven can win it.

Agreed, Im still liking my bets on Chino and Montgomery, but Demidov could run over the table if he makes a good start.

If it wasnt for the fact I have money against it, Id be all for Phillips, he seems like a really nice bloke.

Agreed, Phillips was nice when I got the chance to chat to him. He's certainly embraced the three month break with the most gusto. When i interviewed him post WSOPE, pre London EPT he said it was his 112th interview. He's also done a lot for charity (likes to talk about it) and has been on every major American television network, threw the first ball at a St Louis baseball game etc. Also he's about as far removed from your typical 50 something player as you can get and from the TV coverage is certainly no fool - although it does help if you can flop the nuts every hand.

I've actually got money on Marquis, Montgomery and Schwartz IIRC.

Cheers, why are you saying you would back him now then? That was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen.

Ability wise he's actually very good despite what the AQ hand showed, he made a correct insta call against Brandon Cantu for his tournament life at one point as well don't forget. I believe he plays some of the highest stakes games online is mentored by Raptor and Durr and at 44.5 BBs has a reasonable stack.  Also HU and short handed are his specilaity.

I actually think this final table in terms of quality is better than 05' and 06' and also proably shades 07' too.
