Al Ardebili gets a bit of a lucky double-up with    vs  Asp , catching two tens on the flop.  Although there was a hefty draw for his opponent on the turn, nothing came and he gets back in the running.

Counts from another sector:

Martin De Knijff  44k
Patrick Bruel      25k (he was part of the Prima press conference earlier this morning and spoke rather charmingly, I thought)
Barny Boatman  38k (who also spoke this morning in the lineup)
Tyrone Zinman  60k
John Ioannou    75k
Jani Sointula      20k (after a triple up with  which flushed against two opponenets)
Richard Gryko    77k
Scott Fischman  48k
Phil Ivey           116k
John Juanda      94k
Ross Boatman    52k
Patrik Antonius  20k
Mads Andersen  84k
Jon Kalmar 'Skalie'  55k
Paul Jackson      48k
John Kabbaj       50k
Conor Tate        46k
Joe Beevers       38k

Ask Gus - he completely adores her - and he should - fortunately she takes after her mother Cheesy

Anyone knows Uncle Gus' chip count? Cannot get a hold of my missus...

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.

Marc Goodwin (from birmingham) now has 130,000 chips and is looking good (pin stripe suite, sunglasses, nice shirt...)
abd for those who hate bad beat stories switch off now.

I had 48,000 chips and had not plaed many hands. Marc had reached about 85,000 and had started well.
The first hand back after the second break, the big blind had not returned.
marc doubled the big blind (800) on the cut off
I raised to 2000 on the button with A10 clubs.
The flop came A10 6 off suit and mark checked
I thought an overbet of 10,000 might spark a reaction ( Marc isnt a great thief so I may not get any action from a check if he had no hand)
Marc sighed (and I was sure I was ahead)...and then he moved all-in
I really didnt fancy him for trip after the sigh, so I eventually put my remaining 36,000 in
Marc wasn't happy and rolled over AK
tikay turned his back and pretended he wasn't there but it was no good. He had bokked me, and a heart breaking King fell on the river.

tikay and Jen have wandered off for a pot of tea (their first break today) and left me in charge...as a punishment for my early exit ..

Mad Yank is still in, Gus Hansen is still...I will try and get some chip counts

112 players started...there are now 91 left..th exit door are just beginning to turn...I predict that the next level will get them moving properly.
The 50,000 chips provides a wonderful structure for playing poker, and it is very difficult to get them all-in before the flop. Flops have to be played and the players are being tested.
