Ah, Tony Phillips.

Such an innocent visage, such a suspiciously high stack of small denomination chips.

Who's been a naughty lag-tard?

As I return to the cardroom with my sad emergency apple, I am just in time to witness Tie Of The Day owner Jan Bendik doubling through Christopher Skinner, his starting ahead of Skinner's and staying in the lead all the way down the two hearts board to double up Mr Bendik to around 12,000.

A bit short after that, Skinner busted out soon after.

Mclovin Watch

Is he Mclovin it?

On a scale of one to Mclovin it, I put Mr Clarke on about a six at the moment. He's dropped a little to around 11.5k and looks a little glum tbh. Still an eminently playable stack though. Here he is in a photo from earlier in the day when he was cheerier:

Other Chip Counts (full lot done during dinner break at the end of this level):

Andreas Hoivold - 4,200
Stu Rutter - 18,000
Dave Colclough - 15,000
Sam Trickett - 20,500
Dan Carter - 30,000

All of these are now sharing a table.  Sam joins the list of players on that table who have complained about being on that table.  "You just want one," he elaborates, "One player who's making mistakes."

Clarkatroid - 18,000
James Akenhead - 18,600
Marc Goodwin - 29,000
John Tabatabai - 32,000
Tony Philips - 27,000
Karl Mahrenholz - 24,400
Chris Moorman - 21,600
JP Kelly - 14,000

Javed Abrahams has almost exactly twice as many chips as he did before, after doubling through a disgruntled Ariel Adda. Abrahams seems to have either bet or raised 5k on the flop, leaving himself not much more than another 5k behind, which he then called all in to a push from Adda.

CHIPS!

Here are some assorted counts from the bowels of the Vic.

Praz Bansi - 13,000

Sam Trickett - 24,000

Dan Carter - 26,000

("No spectacular hands" Dan tells me)

JP - 15,000

Moorman - 20,000

Moorman just told me he stuck it in JP's eye, -"I got three streets of value out of him!"

Chris  raised it up with T-7 (sooted obv) from UTG as you do, JP flat called and Moorman liked the look of the 7-7-9 flop. He led, JP called. Ditto the turn card. Ditto the Ace river.

"What did he have!" I asked. "Pocket fives...No respect!"

That boosted Chris to 25k although he immediately bluffed off 5k the next hand - he told me proudly!

11.1k, although curiously he seems to have disappeared, a mysterious pair of white plastic rimmed sunglasses on the table where he ought to be apparent.

Dan Carter seems to be in good form today, despite having Jon Raab talking about him loudly just as it was all getting underway.  AWOP were filming him discussing the lineup of that table, and Carter overheard every word: "AND he's still so young he can't play in Vegas..." etc. etc.  eventually turning around and telling him that he could hear him, you know.

Anyway, he just won a chunky pot from Andreas Hoivold, having secured it with a bet which would have set Hoivold all in on the river, the board .  Hoivold didn't like it, and folded, while Dan said something which sounded a bit like, "Good pass," which he then inexplicably followed with, "I was drawing."

Davood Mehrmand.

When he's not chasing every young lady in sight, he is always sporting his eye-catching bouffant, usually good for Haircut of the Day. And today is no exception.

Christopher Skinner busts pre dinner-break, shortstacked and all in on a promising three diamonds board with .  Unfortunately what promise there was quickly evaporated as he was called by Jerome O'Shea who held and promptly knocked him out.

Also out: Ben Grundy

Could have been out: Barny Boatman - he got it all in on the river with the board against Abhishek Khaitan, shoving straight away for around 7k into an 11k pot.  With no move left but call, Khaitan opted out of it and gave the Hendon Mobster a little breathing room.

Definitely in (this season): vibrant pink, as modeled by Iwan Jones (left) and Panicos Ellinas:

Ginger Update

"You have a lot of chips," I say like an idiot. "40," says he while I stare blankly. "What?" "Forty thousand."

Coffee for me at the break!
