Geez... what happened to Tony G's comfortable lead? Bad luck or bad play?

A series of unsuccessful clashes have disposed of most of Tony G's chips, leaving him as one of the shortest stacks.  Today has been Phil Ivey's afternoon, as he's gone from strength to strength, with few announced all-in style pots.  The badbeat boys lie in second and third in chips, with Paul Jackson especially having put in a good performance, having started the day with under 300k

Jean-Jacques Ghebali gets it all-in and wins again!  He held  against
Flop (looking bad for JJ):
Turn:  The one and only (well, one of three)
River:

It is impossible to destroy the short stacks!  Meanwhile the Consolation players are being herded into the other chambre which looks plenty big enough to accommodate them all.  I wonder if the next three out are going to do a mad dash through to the next room to sit down in their Consolation places?

Blinds are now 8k 16k, with a 2k Ante. Imagine that, on 4 & 5 handed tables!

Erik Sagstrom is OUT -

Again a short stack, this time he was all-in with the  though!
Called by Phil Ivey with  .

The flop brought a King, along with a 6 4, but it was the turned second King which sealed the deal and finally took out Erik123 in 9th place, for $35,000.

The Final will take place in THE Casino de Monte Carlo. I went across there this morning with the Big Honcho from Prima, & the Fox TV Guys, to do a recce. All I can say is WOW! The High Cathedral of Gaming. It is unimaginably wonderfully awesome, it takes your breath away.

The Consolation Jobbie is underway now, & they seem to be playing it like a $10 online rebuy, lots of all-ins. Patrick Bruel is playing, & there is a hiuge gaggle of paparizzi around him. He's some sort of singer chappie I believe.
