Cracking start for Billy Defty. Although he only started with a few hundred thousand and a huge chip deficit, he's managed to take down the first three hands. On the first, Luke Marsh limped from the button before folding to a bet of 100,000. On the second, Marsh bet 20,000 on an flop, Defty made it 60,000 and Marsh folded. Finally, Defty received a walk in the big blind.

Speaking to Luke Marsh during the break, his strategy seemed to be leaning towards a straight forward game. He thought Billy Defty would go for it now Bernie Holmes was gone, so decided it would be best to just grind him down and wait until he had the goods before trying to finish him off.

Luke Marsh gets a walk in the big blind.

Next hand and Marsh raises to 33k on the button/small blind. Defty makes the call.

Check check.

Defty bets 50k. Marsh announces all-in...Defty breathes out and calls!

Marsh:
Defty:

Marsh needs some help. A ten for a split or a Queen or Jack for the win.

The river is..... and there's a stunned silence as people suddenly realised that Marsh has won!

Billy Defty goes out in 2nd place winning £31,850 and...

LUKE MARSH IS THE INAUGURAL DTD ANNIVERSARY CUP WINNER WINNING £55,286!!!!
