Part two

Boo, Nakor Laz and myself are in this wee pub on Saturday lunch. Nice wee pub, not the biggest of places, they did some good grub. Booder was UTG with the soup of the day, on the button was Nakor with a Cajun wrap type thing, Laz was small blind with a Cajun wrap too (but he slowplayed it) and I was big blind with Hickory Chicken (It was on the specials board)

After lunch our story begins, Laz was outside smoking one of his cigar thingys, or he might have been over the road watching the 1.50 at Doncaster, I can't remember. Nakor was attending to some toilet buisness, or away from the table for other reasons. It's not really important to the story, the point is, just Booder and myself remained at the table.

A lady, late 30's early 40's, comes up and politely asks if anyone was using Nakors seat.

I opened my mouth with the intention of telling her that the seat was in use. Booder did the same thing, and he managed to do so succinctly.

I was less successful, and just ended up stuttering for about 20 seconds, didn't get past "the seat umm umm arr arrr the seat" etc

The poor wee woman listened intently for all this time, I did not have any new information to impart to her, Booder had handled the job most competently.
I was saying the exact same thing but after 12 or so seconds of random lady and Booder listening patiently to the beginning of my sentence, I realize I'm going to have to finish it.
Time for thoughts such as "zomg, I'm wasting this nice ladies time" to fly through my head as I struggle to succesfully put one word in front of another word without repeating the original word. It's tough sometimes, I run bad.

Anyway, Booder decides about 17 seconds in to giggle uncontrolably, and my stutter is mercifully brought to an end 3 seconds later when I join him and start laughing too.

Poor lady looks at me like I'm a rather odd and mean man, who's taking the piss out of her. She toddles off with a tut and a shake of her head to stand next to her group.

I think Booder played the hand well. Big-up to booder

part 3 to follow.

Was good to see some old friends, and a few new names to faces. Special big-up to Laz and his motorcar.
