Dunno Odea had a fair bit of luck along the way, calling some big pushes with ace rag.

O Dea was robbed- Marty very nice guy and obv on a heater but doesn't anyone else think he's just a solid/tight player who seems to get the rub of the green?

O Dea played with a lot more flair- plus the fact I'd bet on him so he was bound to lose Cheesy

I think that solid is the way to win these TV tournaments though, just like any mid stakes sng. Playing with too much flair is only going get you into trouble with 50bb structure.

I think Marty is playing optimally for the format. A lot of the 'big' players in these events are too egostical to play taggy poker, but Marty will never have that problem.

Does he vary his game in deeper MTT's then? I can't disagree with his play and results!

LOL I assumed you'd made it back to your hotel somehow dude.  It's like a sixth sense, the way dogs make it home when left in the countryside.

PS GP Ty for excellent party, was sober all through until 1am due to Journalistic Endeavours (check out Cardplayer in month or so...) then decided that was silly.  Then had to write things at 5am while I could still remember it all.  Excellent fun.

Ah but you see the action is only of secondary interest to the shenanigans of 300 drunk railers... I don't remember where I left my car keys on a good day so there was no way I was going to be able to recall any of that otherwise.  Such professionalism.  ish.

Some proper liquidity on Betfair and it's going to go in running, which is good news.
Should be an edge in big all-in hands for those with knowledge of percentages, as long as it's a proper in-play market and not one of those with the three- or four-second clock like the X Factor.
My opening bet will be on Ciaran O'Really at 5.1. Big stack at the start and unlikely to hang around from what I've seen. Every chance of closing out early with this one.

* Grrr, 5-second spinny clock in-running

anybody know what best price Marty was when down to $15,000 ??!!...
