I played 1 hand in the first 20 minutes, needless to say i played 1 hand in the comp!!
Flopped a straight, managed to get all my chips in against trip 6's and the obvious rivered  Angry
Cruel game.
Anyway, all i know is that there were 99 runners so a very nice prize pool.

there were 99 runners - so the prize pool is just a smidge off of 30 large, which means 11,900 to the victor.

When i tralled back up the A38 in rain of Noah's proportions there were 19 left.  We go back today and play it out.  There will be 10 prizes so 9 unlucky fellas will leave with nout.

I asked Zak for the names and chip counts but because no-one had signed consent forms he couldn't release the information so i'll do a brief synopsis - which will be brief cos i don't really know many of the Walsall lot.

We'll start with the easy one - I've got 18,200 in chips which is playable as the blinds will be 6-12 when we return and will move to 8-16 after about 20 minutes (clock is 45 mins per round)

Mad Chinese Paul from Nottingham has about 30,000 and "Big Banned" (banned from Nottingham that is!!) Dave Smith is deep stacked and is hitting everything (55v88 - They both hit sets on a 825 flop but Dave makes his fourth 5 on the river! - He cracked AA with 8-9, then he cracked KK with JJ - the guy is unbelievable)

Steve Jelinik is there with 25k and Big Des (the man with more gold than fort knox) is also well placed.

Apart from that - i am struggling for names and chip counts. - maybe i'll get the result on the forum later

What is it with the consent form thingy?
Have rules/law changed?
When we were in the 500 in January Dave C was supplied with a sheet of paper with all the remaining players and chipcounts for his tourny report without problem.
He did go round matching faces to names but never asked for consent.
At the Broadway on Monday they didn't ask me if i minded my name published on the net and yet it was  Huh?

I9 players returned at 3pm this afternoon, including me

with my usual flair and skill I worked my short stack of 10k up to 50k by the time we got to bubble stage

and what a bubble it was, lasting for over two 45 min levels short stacks all in with the worst of it and coming up smelling of roses

anyway, blinds 2000/4000 I find myself on the bb with QQ, all fold to sb who goes all in for 35k with 66

I call and and he rivers a 6

Im down to 17k with the blinds at 3000/6000 my bb

all fold to sb and he sets me in, I call with 79o hoping for live cards, he shows 10 Q

first card pairs my 7, next card pairs his 10, 3rd card puts me up and down, turn makes my straight, river gives him bigger straight

exit me and, as it turns out, a player from the other table at the same time

alas I had less chips than him so I am the bubble boy

so these are the 9 remaning finalists with approximate chip counts

D Jonas 116k

T choo-Sing 92k

M Fletcher 47k

W Chilton 45k

J Hewston 41k

P Ng 97k

S Jelinek 49k

M Cavanagh 29k

STOP PRESS

as I was walking out the door John Hewston tapped me on the shoulder

He was out, his JJ cracked By 10 10

Unless you give permission to have your name published, then it shouldnt be. The casino can't just give names out. However, If the results are posted up on the wall then anyone could take the names and publish.

Or some such shit.
