"you're not going to out hippy me you stupid fucking hippy" is one of my favourite lines

but

"I'll never have sex like that again, not unless I go on holiday to Hawaii and there's a plane crash and all of my survivors are women sex therapists on their way to a conference. There's maybe even some male sex therapists. They'd love that wouldn't they? All fucking each other and giving each other tips while I sit on a rock wanking and crying!"

is my all time fave

My sister bought me that box set for Christmas, great series - she didn't get quite such a good bargain.

I made the most of Zavvi's problems by buying a boxset of the first 4 series of House for £48 and the last series of 24 (the only I haven't already got) £16.60. So another good score for the Credit Crunch  thumbs up

What happens if you get caught shoplifting at the moment. Who's going to prosecute you?

So what's with those signs that you see up places saying we always prosecute shoplifters?

Who is the we in that case?

Ok then, will reword my question.

If I walk into Zavvi tomorrow and grab a stack of six complete Sopranos boxsets and brazenly walk out the door, if someone decides to stop me, am I going to get done for shoplifting? Who's going to press charges?

btw, I'm not seriously considering this. Life of crime not for me and all that, just curious.

If you did it before Woollies went under than nothing much would happen because nobody would've cared enough to prosecute you.

But Zavvi is a going concern so you'd get charges pressed by the shop staff just as they would have done previously.

imagine talking to a zavvi employee

"i know mate, terrible innit - whats that you say, you've lost your job, your cars been repo'd, and your house is going to go the same way, meaning your wife is going to leave you and take the kids ?"
"look on the brightside, I got the Laurel and Hardy boxset for 40 quid"
