Playing in my regular sunday pub tourney yesterday.
4 left, 3 paid.
blinds are 800 1600 i have just under 25000 and am big blind.
guy on the button makes it 5400.
He is normally TAG but when short handed i know he will make moves.
I have  and call his raise others have folded.
flop comes  .
I raise 7200.
He shoves. he has 4k more than me do i call?

Shove or fold pre, it is probably close but I would probs shove but your read on his range is better than mine. He only has about 10bbs pre, playing a flop is totally lol unless you are tarping.

Once you bet out this is biggest no brainer call of all time, you are getting like a million to 1. Always consider at least one move ahead in poker, why are we betting here to get him to fold,call or raise?

Fwiw once you get to flop and make a pair you should never pass.

I make it about 18bb i had around 25k he had about 4k more ~ 29k.
I think the shove pre would have been the better move.
wont say what happened yet tho.
just trying to get opinions to try and improve my game.

Looks like you're committed here...he could well be shoving Ace high thinking your lead out is weak...

stacks arent deep enough to play this hand postflop, out of position, without the initiative. fold or shove pre.

Yeah i realise i should have folded or shoved pre now.
He shoved with A high trying to push me off i called and won.
Not the correct play but it worked out this time!
I posted it because i didnt feel i made the right move with the call and small raise but thats what this forum is for i suppose!
