Not too good at picking winners but here's a couple that I saw which I cannot imagine any sane person backing.

Williamhill are doing Specials on the 2012 olympics, so you won't get paid for nearly 7 years if you win.

As you won't accrue on any interest on the money you've staked betting on things like who the reigning monarch will be in 2012 (Queen Elizabeth II @1.36) or what the national currency will be (Stirling @1.22) will be sure fire money losers.

Putting your money in the bank and earning a modest 4.5% will pay out @ 1.36 after 7 years. That's pretty much guaranteed unless the world ends. Best of luck to Queen, I'll drink to her health etc, but I'm not betting on her or her coins at that price.
