is this series 3?
does it matter that I haven't watched season 2 yet?

Should be series 2 as it was shown on cable just a few months ago and dont think series 3 has over here yet.

Dont you think there are just too many good American Series nowadays- I've heard this is amazing, as is Prison break!!! But i'm in the middle of watching the sopranos(for the 2nd time admittedly) Heroes, and 24. Then you've got about a gazillion others!!!
Seems like a whinge-obviously glad the yanks are providing epic programmes but just cant keep up.

Should be series 2 as it was shown on cable just a few months ago and dont think series 3 has over here yet.
Series 3 was recently on FX. Pretty sure first two seasons already been on itv. |

If you are not gonna bother watching all of season 1 then read up on the general goings on on wiki
Also Dexter is awesome, much better than lost imo
